  1. Bo coming back as a 2B would be beautiful. $26 million AAV or so? DH Springer C Kirk 1B Vladdy 2B Bo SS Giminez 3B Clement /Barger LF Santander / Straw CF Varsho RF Barger / Lukes Bench - Heineman, Straw, Lukes, Schneider OF depth - Loperfido, Clase, Schrek, Pinango IF depth - Jiminez, Kasevich Get a couple starters and repeating as AL champs will be super easy to make.
  2. Jays win % by decade: #6 - 1970's - 0.343 (The Expansion era) #5 - 2010's - 0.490 (The AA "Flash in the pan" era) #4 - 2000's - 0.497 (The JP Riccardi era) #3 - 1990's - 0.515 (The B2B World Series champs era) #2 - 1980's - 0.523 (The get the franchise off the ground era) #1 - 2020's - 0.543 (The "Ross the Boss" Atkins has rebuilt the MFing Jays era)
  3. Hopefully this leads to Bo signing an extension with the Jays and being willing to move to 2B full time. But first hopefully it leads to the Jays winning the World Series
  4. Yeah, Ernie had a homer taken away by Arozarena and how many rockets did the Jays hit right at guys with Bryce Miller on the mound?
  5. Haha I just read this thread from the start. What a tire fire. Ross "The Boss" Atkins turning s*** into potpourri
  6. Wow, awesome. Which one did you miss? Joe Carters WS winner?
  7. Hopefully Berrios' downfall was just him wearing down and he gets right during the off season. Francis I could see converting back to a reliever again maybe.
  8. I keep trying to tell myself just making it this far is amazing enough, and losing to a $400 million payroll team ain't no biggie, but goddamn it would be so sweet to win this sucker since they made it here anyways. I thought the coach had turned back into a pumpkin when they lost games 1 & 2 to the Mariners at home. This plucky team is something else. If anyone can KO the Dodgers, it's these feisty buggers.
  9. I could see them trying it maybe. Bloss should be back mid season although he looked like ass ever since joining the Jays org. Hopefully it was just him falling apart because of his injury and he comes back strong. Tiedemann will also be interesting to follow, not sure when he's slated to return. Unlike Bastardo though, he can stay in AAA and start games there, although I won't be surprised if he ends up as a reliever eventually. Hopefully wrong on that. Stanifer is a guy I see factoring in the MLB sometime in 2026 as well. Not really sure what to think of guys like Lazaro Estrada or Adam Macko. Probably AAA depth until they wash out of the org.
  10. I don't have to focus on the WS right now, I'm not playing in it. And while I wait for it start so I can watch, I'll respond I guess. That rotation COULD be good, but... Bieber technically isn't signed yet Gausman is another year older, but should be good still Berrios was circling the drain all season and is now on the IL, hopefully comes back strong but hardly a sure thing Yesavage clearly looks legit, but still a rookie and may back slide Lauer, had a nice season but still one year removed from the KBO Francis, see Berrios but waaaaaay worse Too many question marks, the Jays should pull out all the stops to land two mid to front end starters IMO. That's going to eat up $45-55 million probably? As for the pen.... 1. Hoffman 2. Varland 3. Fisher 4. Fluharty 5. Little 6. Rodriguez 7. Bruihl 8. Nance 9. Burr 10. Garcia 11. Sandlin 12. Bastardo (probably) 13. Borucki 14. Tate I mean, a literal plethora of useful relievers under control. Plus they've got 4 relievers that finished in AA this year that they are sending to the AFL I believe. No sense dumping several million on a reliever in FA. Spend it where it counts in the rotation and replacing Bo's bat if he doesn't resign.
  11. And Kasevich coming up may factor in as well. Hopeflly he has a strong showing in the AFL
  12. The Jays don't need to pour money into major bullpen additions. They need to pour money into the rotation more than anything. Every reliever they have is under control for next season except for Seranthony Dominguez. Plus Sandlin, Burr and hopefully Yimi should all factor in as well. And who knows what else they will have cooking in the upper minors for relief arms. Plus guys a guy like Bastardo should factor in the bullpen as they need to keep him on the MLB roster or give him back to the Red Sox.
  13. Ross the boss is right. The waves of talent are arriving and will continue to splash onto the Blue Jays shores for years to come and they will have the ability to spend to maintain it. Will be like the Brewers or Rays but with money. Or like the Dodgers Northeast.
  14. All jokes aside, what the Jays have done so far this year probably isn't hurting their chances at bringing in some big name FAs. Between Vladdy signing lomg term, basically having 90% of the team under control, having a deep playoff run and for FA pitchers the chance to have the best D in the league behind them can't hurt either.
  15. If they can sign Bieber, Cease and Tucker repeating will be easy to do.
  16. This got me thinking, the Jays have had a huge home run at home in every playoff round now that either eventually won them the clinching game, or immediately ended the game. Joe for the World series (1993) Walk off Springer for the ALCS (2025) 7th inning to take the lead Joey Bats for the ALDS (2015) 7th inning to take the lead EE for the Wild Card round (2016) Walk off What a treat for the home fans to watch that. I wonder if anyone was in attendance for all 4?
  17. Haha, I do....just a little. I like to needle the incessant whiners whenever I get a chance.
  18. What happened to the dude on here who was freaking out non stop about the Jays FO only acquiring Varland and Dominguez for the BP at the TDL and sticking with Hoffman as the closer? Haven't seen him on here in so long i forgot what his handle even is.
  19. How about that Atkins eh? That mofo really knows how to general manage a baseball team, doesn't he? What a ride. I think this team can take the Dodgers down. They'll be ready.
  20. Do the Dodgers plan to stretch Sasaki back out to a starter next year? If that starting 4 of Snell, Yamamoto, Ohtani and Glasnow stays healthy, do the Dodgers win 110 games next season? Thinking about the last two off seasons and how the Jays got things back on track in 2025 despite missing out on all those guys the Dodgers piled up, just imagine this Jays team with two ace pitchers, a closer with nasty stuff and a 100mph FB, oh and a hall of fame bat who also happens to be one of those aces I just mentioned. Too bad all those Japanese guys love LA more than Canada.
  21. I was also wondering how Bryce Miller is able to walk around like he does with that horseshoe firmly lodged in his anal region. I mean he's no schlub pitcher or anything, but holy f*** how many Jays hard hit balls went right at a defender in his last two starts? Also, f*** you Brian Woo. If you're going to lose the handle on one of your pitches, can't it just hit Springer somewhere meaty?? Does it have to be right on his f***ing knee cap FFS?
  22. Imagine being an Angels fan.. Gifted a unicorn like that, had him for 6 seasons and couldn't even make the playoffs with him (and Trout too). Then you watch him head across town and go straight to winning World Series.
