My point was they could have gotten him on a one year deal if they really wanted to. He was ok with accepting a 1 year deal.
The Dodgers deal is all deferred over like 8 years or something, so not $23.5 a year to the org.
The fact of the matter is, Teo would be the Blue Jays leader in RBIs, hits and runs and tied for the lead in HRs with his current stats.
Again, not saying Teo is/was the answer, just saying it wasn't a matter of him only wanting a long term deal or not wanting to play in TO.
