  1. The GM needs to go before the manager.
  2. It is not a ship anymore, it is a submarine with a screen door.
  3. Worst case scenario is we start playing .600 ball for the two weeks prior to the trade deadline.
  4. Tim Anderson is horrible. Another example of a good player to horrible in 0-60.
  5. The Oakland A’s are a .500 ball club..
  6. I’m the A’s vs Marlin’s game today for little league day. At least I will get to see one .500 or above team play
  7. You would hope 4 is enough for the Gasman. If he pitches 8 innings;)
  8. I’m positive that pic is 20 years old.

  10. My point was they could have gotten him on a one year deal if they really wanted to. He was ok with accepting a 1 year deal. The Dodgers deal is all deferred over like 8 years or something, so not $23.5 a year to the org. The fact of the matter is, Teo would be the Blue Jays leader in RBIs, hits and runs and tied for the lead in HRs with his current stats. Again, not saying Teo is/was the answer, just saying it wasn't a matter of him only wanting a long term deal or not wanting to play in TO.
  11. They have interviewed former presidents of orgs who came from the baseball side, as did Shapiro. Across the board they will say that if you think that the President is not involved in baseball decision/personnel decisions etc you are dead wrong. 100% Shapiro is involved in on field product.
  12. There are two components to both though. The mechanics of pitching and hitting, not a zone for nerds unless former player/nerds. Then you have the pitch selection or sequence aspect, that is the Nerd zone. Both sides need to have a symbiotic relationship. It appears that on our pitching side, that is the case, and on our hitting side, it is not.
  13. We could have offered a higher 1 yr deal if that was the case.
  14. He is not even responsible for Varsho. According to Blair and Barker today, it is because Varsho’s dad got involved. The improvement stems from his dad.
  15. Never mind, I just saw the replay.
  16. What happened, not able to watch yet?
  17. I would say no to that if I owned Riley and Royce. However, full disclosure I have VDS.
  18. It is apparent you have no idea the situation and context I am referring to. You do that s*** when you hit a tying or go ahead or winning hit or HR. Not when your team is down 7, 8 runs late and it is the first and only run you have scored. Situational awareness.
  19. It’s not the fact he did it. We were down biggly. Not appropriate for the situation, regardless of who they were playing.
  20. This. I noted this over the weekend. Dude is just not sustainable as a full time catcher, nor do I believe long term. i.e, no 10 yr contracts.
  21. Unfortunately probably the case. Certainly doesn't know how to read the room and have much of an appreciation of historical what not to do after he Shhsssssssedd the Yankees fanbase after hitting a HR in a game we were down by like 8. For those of you who do not have access to U.S media other than the few big ones. Vlad was absolutely roasted for that and not just by the Yankees' media and fanbase.
