  1. Muncy is clutch… Not a good feeling..
  2. Makes it even a worse decision, since Kikuchi was coming out of the pen (he was not accustomed to last year) and struggled somewhat the later part of the year.
  3. I hope Emily is eventually going to phase out Hazel.
  4. Varsho made up for the blip yesterday on D.
  5. We have just been facing some tough bullpens..
  6. I see this is what some random poster from some small town in rural Ontario resorts to when they are having a meltdown. Consistently proven to be the most clueless poster on how to build a winning baseball team and assess statistics based on context on this board. Not kidding or using hyperbole when I say, probably the worst assessor of talent on the board. Taking the L is hard, week after week, year after year. Get off your high horse to think you speak for the board. Your posts reek of arrogance which you have shown zero, zero, historical relevance in your posting, to merit your authoritarian attitude. Seek assistance from a mental health professional for your outbursts, for the sake of your family. You were much more carefree in Spring Training when in Florida. Maybe a vacation would help.
  7. Just clarifying. You determine who we (the board) want here?
  8. If we are going to pick one off, Stone is probably one of the most vulnerable.
  9. I heard there is a reservation for 50 at a sushi restaurant later tonight!
  10. This part makes it even worse, since some teams do have ownership issues that curtail the FO. I am not aware of ownership curtailing the Jays lateley. We are thought to be in this company. Did not receive votes: Red Sox, Blue Jays, Royals, White Sox, Athletics, Angels, Nationals, Marlins, Cardinals, Padres, Rockies, Giants, Pirates, Cubs One executive summed up the ephemeral nature of this endeavor: “Is Oakland terrible? Five years ago, they were top five. Is that them, or what they’re dealing with?” Indeed, for many of the clubs that did not merit consideration, it is hard to separate the front office from the sway held by ownership. One of the primary responsibilities of a chief baseball executive is managing upward — getting your owner to buy into, both literally and figuratively, your vision for how to run a club. Some owners are more difficult to sway than others.
  11. There are 16 Team FOs that received votes on there. The Blue Jays did not get one, not one. There are 30 teams. 40 execs means more than one per team in some cases in aggregate. What are you guys going on about top 5 for ....? As much as I do not like the Athletic sometimes, they are a reputable source. This is not a fan or media vote. This is a peer vote. It says something...... What this tells me, is that it is not just the "haters'' on message boards or negative Nancy who question the FOs decisions and strategies. It is also industry peers.
  12. How’s it fake news Spank? There are more than 5 FOs and 40 execs.
  13. See above posts
  14. I’m on my cell and image challenged. I am a protected class. Inclusivity not hate.
  15. Estoy 100% de acuerdo amigo
  16. Our FO is not highly thought of by their peers. https://theathletic.com/5424700/2024/04/24/mlb-front-office-rankings/?utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=facebookhq&source=fbhq&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3oULYTWg9SGIjFcuuXdMU-rgHOl9vxK_ZzttMg3jh8PD6LMfjb3XDuPY4_aem_AZXBepXJocbgYfQGt0pl9mvBc2Pg6z9Gy5ZzrJ6kmr7wr9Rv_5wIO1_L1PST-zRpP8_UM5o_RcAaSlimfSWh16dU
  17. He missed the ball because of poor foot work and bringing the glove across your face. Yea I just missed the pitch for the 3rd strike. Well you weren't cocked and ready and not protecting the strike zone and guessing wrong. Point is, 90% of the time at the MLB level there is something that predicated the miss or drop etc.
  18. Barger is doing his best to atone. Hard hit ball and good catch. I like the attitude to put the mistake on the back burner and not let it affect his game.
  19. I always envisioned Barger as our future 3b and not LF. I hope the Blue Jays do too...
  20. Vlad has been playing 1b full time for 4 plus years now? Still s*** footwork around the bag. Rumors of Vlad not being very coachable with the bat. Seems to me a general coach-ability issue with Vlad… Forgot to add the base running issues as well.
  21. Because their offense makes our's look like Alabama's..
  22. Come on KK. I am a coach on my older kids baseball team and have taught them since they were 5 to wait until the ball hits the ground before you advance unless two outs. Every time a runner gets on base we reiterate it.
  23. No fan of Buck. However, what he was trying to say and you hyperbole his point, is that velocity without command and control or location and feel is nothing. More important than 101 mph is pitch sequence and location. The 2015 Blue Jays loved flame thrower fastball guys. They got f***ed up by changeup speed and location pitchers.
