Yes. However, he was acquired because he was an area of need. I don't see who/how they replaced his role/capabilities in the off season or since. Hicks gave you essentially 4 guys who could be setup or closers. In reality Swanson never excelled at the closer role and Yimy prior this year had a so so record as closer. If you look at a series of close games from the 7th inning to 9. We need that Hicks type pitcher who can slot into set up or closer. Especially after Romano goes back to back etc, even prior to him going on the IL. We did not do an adequate job of replacing that role. Mayza, Cabrera, Pearson, Richards etc are not that role.
