Lol. So true.
Just realized I never officially chimed in on this thread.
Hmmm, I'll give it a couple of months and then give my "from day 1" opinion on the signing.
Where are all the people that last year were saying the Yankees were in trouble and would be hard pressed to be a contender anytime soon?
Yes those people existed even though it was clear all they really needed was a good left-handed bat and maybe a little more pitching depth.
Anybody going to raise their hand on that one?
It's rough man. Watching baseball that is already this difficult to watch and knowing the rebuild hasn't even begun yet. Some tough times ahead for the foreseeable future.
I would think bringing up Horwitz is part of NOT waving the white flag. The point is he can't possibly be worse than what they are rolling out there everyday. Barger too.
People confuse warm bodies with actual depth.
I complained about it all of last year but we were lucky that it never came back to bite us especially since Ryu was ready when Manoah was finally giving up on for the season.
I complained about it again at the beginning of this year only to be given names of worthless pitchers that we all knew would have amounted to nothing.
So here we are.
It's a good thing he focuses on fighting in the off-season instead of being a better baseball player in his final years so that a team less s***** than the White Sox might want him.
I was saying this plenty at the beginning of the season but nobody seemed to care so whatever. I was thinking more so about Belt over Vogelf***, but still
I don't care what anybody says, we haven't had a ride or die ace since the late great Roy Halladay.
I would trust that guy to go to battle against any lineup in any ballpark in the history of baseball.
