  1. Please hold on to this lead Jays. Please. This home run needs to be immortalized.
  2. For better or worse, JS has proven he has no problem losing while doing something he thinks is right (even if it looks crazy on paper), so if he doesn't trust 80% of the bullpen, then this is what we are going to see. He's going to let IKF hit for himself the rest of the game, and so on. We've gotten lucky that a lot of this has worked in 2025.
  3. Yeah, Games 1, 2, and 5 were on the offense just as much as the bullpen. This seems to be a continuation of that. Not optimistic about the rest of this game but hopefully they prove me wrong.
  4. Watch your knee caps, Woo coming in. Need to chip away here.
  5. Jays pitchers are incapable of just giving up singles and doubles. They have to clear the fence.
  6. No one is going to pinch hit for IKF because it would make the defense "worse" so we just have to hope he doesn't come up in important spots.
  7. Yeah this feels a lot like Game 1 as mentioned. Asking the bullpen to go 5 without giving up a run is asking a lot, but that's the Jays best chance here.
  8. Everyday Louis Varland gets it done. Now score before the M’s bring in their good relievers.
  9. Whatever the definition of a big game start is, this was the opposite. Lucky the score isn’t worse, but Varland could certainly make it worse here.
  10. Get the pen ready (not Little or Yariel). I don’t think Bieber is long for this one but can’t afford to give up any more runs here.
  11. Bieber hasn’t looked good tonight, get the pen up.
  12. Limited the damage but really needed to throw a zero there. Hopefully Bieber settles down the rest of the way. Jays need to get this run back, let’s go.
  13. A clean 1st inning by Bieber is imperative. Put the pressure on Kirby in the bottom of the 1st in that scenario. If the M's get traffic or score first, then that's a dangerous game to play. Not that the Jays can't come back, but Kirby's leash is probably going to be very short. Ideal to have the lead once they go to the pen.
  14. Jays wins this post season 10-1 13-7 5-2 13-4 8-2 6-2 Outscored opponent 55-18 Jays losses this post season 6-9 (starter left the game up 6-3) 1-3 (starter left the game when the score was 1-1) 3-10 (starter left the game when the score was 3-3) 2-6 (starter left the game up 2-1) The offense has been able to mask the bullpen for almost the entire playoff run so far. They'll need to do it one more time. Can't be said enough, a close game late does not favor the Jays at all.
  15. No chance. If IKF were not hitting then there might have been a slight chance for a change, but he's BABIP'd his way to a .364/.364/.545 slash line in 12 PA in the ALCS with 0 strike outs (the latter means a lot to JS). Just have to hope his 73 mph rockets keep finding holes.
  16. Gotta get to Kirby early. If it becomes a game of bullpens, then the Jays are clearly at a disadvantage, and the game likely tilts to Seattle's favor. Have to hope the Jays can hit Kirby and/or Woo is still rusty (though not so rusty that he destroys knee caps). If the Jays are down or the game is tied late, then it's going to be a struggle with Munoz fresh for 2 innings. I would imagine Vlad isn't going to get a single pitch to hit tonight, so the others have to step it up around him. I'm not ready for this season to end. Let's get this win tonight, by any means.
  17. If Hoffman pitches 2 IP tonight, then I think the closer tomorrow is going to be someone else (Scherzer?).
  18. Starting IKF means he plays the whole game. JS won't sub him out due to defense.
  19. 61, 75, 81. MPH off the bat of IKF tonight in his 3 plate appearances.
  20. I don't like 'Everyday Varland' being the team's stopper, but that was a 58 mph bloop. As long as he's not giving up bombs.
