  1. DS can't face RHP with any velocity and now can't face LHP either.
  2. He's safe but "too close to overturn" is unfortunately a possibility.
  3. Bieber's given up some hard contact this inning, but after last night I have a hard time having faith in Flu. Hopefully he has a better outing and actually gets LHB out this time.
  4. 5 strong for Bieber. Ideally he's kept in, but who knows with JS.
  5. Bieber started rough in Game 3 against the M's and finished strong. Hopefully it's a similar outing here.
  6. I hate the Dodgers but man we are blessed to be watching prime Ohtani. Crazy how great he is.
  7. Yeah oblique is something that is going to be very difficult to play through. Springer is a gamer but that's asking a lot. Let's see how he feels tomorrow, hopefully it's a 2-2 series by then.
  8. I don't disagree, but this team values contact and defense very highly, which are two things DS doesn't do well. Between that and whatever issues he has or had with high velo (haven't looked at the numbers to see if anything has changed there), and they've probably decided they have specific "lanes" to use DS and prefer IKF otherwise. It worked in the ALCS. We just have to hope there's more BABIP magic left in his bat.
  9. If the SP is RH and throws harder than Jamie Moyer (the current version sitting at home, not the one who played), then DS is on the bench. That’s what JS has decided. The Jays are the only team in pro sports who would value IKF at $15M, and this has been going on all playoffs so I don’t think it’s just a JS decision. The team wants IKF to start, and they were starting Craig’s son over DS two years ago. It is what it is.
  10. So when Bichette is pinch run for it will be DS since France is slow as hell and they won’t bring Straw in to DH. So at least no IKF hitting behind Vlad scenario.
  11. Have to hope Springer and Bichette are playing. Doesn’t look likely for Springer. Bichette depends on whether he was pulled last night due to injury or not. With DH possibly open now with Springer’s injury then that seems like a more logical spot for him. If both Springer and Bo are out, then I’m sleeping at 9:30 tonight.
  12. It may not matter now if Springer has to miss time (I’m assuming Bo will DH and bat lead off in that scenario) but completely agree. If Bo is playing 2B and is going to be taken out mid/late for IKF. then he needs to bat somewhere else in the lineup.
  13. When Barger was on 1B no less. Just a stupid decision. The Jays went 11 innings with a AAA lineup. The series obviously isn’t over but losing this one hurts. Margin for error is super slim now.
  14. Pulling Barger for Straw is going to be the difference this game. No guarantee Barger would have gotten any big hits but much more likely to do so than f’n Straw. regardless it’s 1 am here so I’m going to bed. Hopefully will wake up to good news, though I don’t think this lineup is capable of scoring a run without Springer, Bo, Kirk, and Barger.
  15. JS panicking not having anyone on the bench to pinch hit for DS.
  16. Fisher hasn't been good lately. Hope we see regular season Fish tonight.
