  1. The Jays started IKF for 4 straight ALCS games when they were trailing in the series, so for them to actually put Bo at 2B means that they think he can handle it defensively. The one thing they generally don't do is mess around with defense. They value it more than any team in the league. Curious to see how Bo looks. The Jays don't have any heavy GB pitchers, so it hopefully won't be too big of an issue. Although it's baseball, so Bo having to field many of the balls in play could easily happen anyway. Regardless, if the Jays want a shot at beating the Dodgers, then they need Bichette in the lineup. Let's see what happens. Excited to watch this one.
  2. Giving a vetrin to John Schneider is extremely dangerous. Would much rather have Joey just because JS would never play him, whereas he might shoehorn France into plate appearances. Regardless, DH is either going to be Bo or Springer. Vlad is always going to be 1B. France is likely just a pinch hitter.
  3. If Springer prefers to play DH and is still hobbled by the knee issue, then Bo starting at DH may not be the best decision, even though on paper it's clearly the best option. Springer, outside of Vlad, is the most important bat in the lineup. Need to have him in the best spot for him to succeed. Let's see where the Jays put Bo when the lineups come out. If he's at DH and Springer is in the OF, then from an offensive upside standpoint, that's the best lineup the Jays could field if Bo can't play the field yet. Have to hope Springer is healthy enough to do that though.
  4. Yeah putting aside what Bo at 2B could do for the World Series, it does indicate that there might be a path to a reunion. No chance a team that put IKF on the field for 4 straight ALCS games when trailing the series is going to value Bichette as a SS on the FA market. At 2B, assuming he's decent there, it's a different story. I've said before I don't think the Bo FA market is going to be all that robust. Be patient, let him test the market, and then bring him back if it makes sense and he's willing to play 2B. But cross that bridge when you get there. First let's see if he's healthy enough to play 2B adequately. That changes the potential of the lineup significantly.
  5. Little should absolutely not be used in this series. The Dodgers are not going to chase his junk in the dirt. Hopefully, Fluharty has surpassed him on the depth chart and is used for the big spots against LHB. When it comes to the pen, only thing certain is that Hoffman is the closer and Varland is about to have 7 appearances in 9 days. Everything else will depend on the situation.
  6. You’re right about being up 2-1. Don’t know why I thought they were down, but I was young at the time so memory playing tricks on me. Regardless, Springer’s HR is firmly #2 all time now.
  7. Unless I was seeing things, Shapiro was celebrating the Jays Game 7 win in a suite with Ed Rogers in it. If he’s not already extended, then it’s likely just a formality at this point. But regardless of what happens in the WS, the front office deserves a lot of credit for this season.
  8. I think Springer's HR is firmly #2 now with Alomar #3. Bautista's had the bat flip and the aura but it was just the ALDS. Springer's was a Game 7 ALCS go ahead HR, and Alomar's was pivotal in the Jays tying the 1992 ALCS (were on the verge of going down 3-1 in the series before it).
  9. Poor DS sits on the bench for like 2 weeks and then has to face Blake Snell in Game 1 of the World Series.
  10. The AL is going to run out of pitchers by the 7th inning.
  11. What makes this run more special is that Joe Davis is the voice of it. I know many here are probably watching the SN feed, but Davis is the best in the business IMO.
  12. Work the count against the starters and get to their bullpen early. That’s going to be the Jays best shot at winning this. Obviously the offense needs to show up as well and put some runs on the board. Won’t be easy against that starting staff. Should be an amazing environment.
  13. No chance Bo is playing anything other than SS (not likely) or DH (more likely). If Bo is good to play then we will probably see the Barger-Gimenez-Clement infield left to right with Springer in LF and Bo at DH. As long as Springer can cosplay as a LF without it impacting his offense, then that should work. IKF had a surprisingly nice ALCS, but the difference between him and Bo in the lineup is astronomical. Need any positive reinforcements we can get in order to have a shot at beating the Dodgers.
  14. Springer getting the HR after the Seattle fans cheered him getting hurt is poetic justice.
  15. Yeah didn't mean Bazardo was bad, but that's the spot you have to use your best guy.
  16. Wilson definitely messed up by not bringing in Munoz. That's probably worse than the Little decision, more so in hindsight.
  17. A viewer discretion warning. John Schneider has the network shook.
  18. Boss Atkins' nuts were in the room long before he stepped into the podium.
  19. Can someone tell the stadium noise guy to stop with the "let's go Blue Jays" horn that keeps playing? Let the moment sink in.
  20. Holy s***. I love this team and love all of ya'll!!!!!!
  21. Jeff Hoffman with a 1 run lead. This will be very stressful.
  22. Yeah I'm keeping Bassitt in this game. I don't know if JS will, but he looked good there.
