  1. Why the F didn't you walk Ohtani? Where is Matt Chapman when you need him?
  2. Getting Pages out is going to be huge here. Face Ohtani with no one on.
  3. I hope the Jays don't regret pinch running for Bo here. They won't give Vlad anything to hit with IKF behind him, so the Jays have to hope they hold the lead here.
  4. Not to mention it's replacing Springer, so DS wouldn't have even had to take the field. He's a better hitter than France. JS just doesn't like DS for whatever reason, probably contact rate.
  5. So I guess Bo at DH tomorrow with IKF at 2B since DS cannot start against a RHP who throws harder than Jamie Moyer. Not ideal.
  6. That's risky with Ohtani and possibly Freeman coming up, but the Jays don't have many trustworthy options with Fisher struggling and Lauer not being used much. It's between Dominguez and Bassitt probably in terms of who to use from the non-Hoffman options.
  7. What JS does in the next inning might decide the game. Pages and then the top of the order coming up. Hopefully the bats can score some here so it's less stressful for whoever comes in.
  8. Can't be Dominguez given the LHB's there. Probably Bassitt. If it's Little, then god help us.
  9. Now we know why Louis Varland pitches every damn game.
  10. Looked like Max was mouthing "it's time" to JS there from the looks of it, so he probably reached his limit there. Time to the pen.
  11. Can't ask for a better scenario here. Dodgers pen has been their weakness, and the Jays get them in the 5th. Have to take advantage of this.
  12. I mean, if you prefer Shulman/Buck over Joe Davis then that's wonderful.
  13. 1-2-3 inning for Max. Nice. Not sure if they allow him to face the top of the order again (unless he threatens to kill JS like last time) but he's been solid tonight.
  14. Watching the SN feed (no choice, prefer FOX), and Shulman gets way too excited for fly balls.
  15. Big time throw from Barger. Now score some runs so I don't have to hate this umpire for all eternity.
  16. Yeah the call sucked, I get why Varsho would toss his bat thinking it was a walk (Vlad does that when the ball is in the strike zone) but not sure why Bichette would be that far off the bag without confirming what the call was. Regardless, if the ump makes the right call then it's 1st/2nd/0 out so it's mostly on the umpire, but Bo can't be without some blame there. Just a s***** situation. Hope it doesn't decide the game.
  17. Yeah I get that, but a runner shouldn't assume anything. Bad calls by umps happen all the time. Bichette just walking to 2nd assuming it was the ball was not the right move. The umpire is ass, but Bo needs to take some blame there as well.
  18. Wait, I'm watching my son while watching the game. I thought Varsho was called out on strikes on that bad call, but it was only strike 2. Why was Bo off the bag?
  19. Unbelievable. F the umpires man. This is not the time for this BS.
  20. I had faith in Max turning back the clock against the Mariners but I don’t have that same optimism against the Dodgers. Hope Mad Max still has 1-2 more throwback games in him. My guess is the Jays don’t want Bieber to start unless it’s with extra rest (due to coming back from TJS) and that’s impossible in a 7 game series where he starts Game 3. So maybe the logic is just let him go all out in Game 4, and figure out Game 7 if it happens.
  21. Yeah not much you could have done tonight. Yamamoto was a stud and shut the Jays down. Move on to Game 3.
  22. IKF in the lineup, Bo out. Probably a “load management” situation here as Bo is likely still hurt. Hopefully he’s good for pinch hitting later.
  23. What a great game. Kept it close until they got to the Dodgers bullpen and then blew it open. That should be the formula for the rest of the series. Keep it going.
