  1. Depending on Dominguez in Game 7 in the 10th is insane. Bring Bieber in.
  2. Hoffman giving up a home run to Miguel f***ing Rojas is an embarrassment. Cant believe this s***.
  3. Kinda nervous about Yesavage on 2 days rest here. Gausman didn’t look good in Game 7 of the SEA series in this spot but got lucky. Let’s go Trey.
  4. I’m guessing Yesavage for 1 and Hoffman for 2 is the plan.
  5. Getting out of that with just 1 run is damn near a miracle. Get Max out of the game now.
  6. It doesn’t have to be pretty. Max is getting outs. All that matters. Have the pen ready for the next inning or two here.
  7. Springer rare dumb moment and then Bo on one leg being the lead runner. Baseball Gods may have already decided what they want.
  8. Moving Lukes off the 2 spot would be fine with me. He's a league average hitter at best and he's having a poor WS so far. Go with the hot hand. Either push Vlad up a spot or put Barger there, as mentioned. One thing I don't see mentioned often, maybe it has, but there was very little chance Springer was going to be allowed to hit in the 9th if Barger doesn't get picked off. I feel like walking him to pitch to Lukes would have been an absolute no brainer that even Dave Roberts wouldn't have messed up. That 2 spot needs a more upside bat.
  9. What makes this more frustrating is that we saw two plays in a span of 4 games that were so inexcusable and they ended up either costing the team the win or costing the team the chance to potentially win; the Bo pick off in Game 3 and the Barger play at 2B last night. I see people on social media blaming umpiring or the ball being wedged in the OF for those losses...... but literally all Bo had to do was stand near the bag to wait for the call, and all Barger had to do was not be half way to 3B on a shallow drive to LF. Completely avoidable mistakes that ended up having major consequences. It's one thing to lose because the other team executed better but I don't think that's been the case here. The Jays probably should have already won this series based on how it's been played, but now it's a coin flip Game 7 where the pitching matchups tilt in the Dodgers favor (on paper). The Jays have come back from this type of adversity all season. Hopefully they have one more come back win in them.
  10. I would imagine the Dodgers won't even use any of their actual relievers tomorrow except Sasaki. It will be Ohtani, Snell, Glasnow, and Sasaki at a minimum. The Jays will likely have Max, Bieber, and Yesavage available. All hands on deck would be an understatement.
  11. Yeah I think Straw scoring was possible given his speed, but Barger was going to be still be at 2B. Clement popping out was a heart breaker.
  12. What a brutal way to lose that game. Barger was way too far off of 2B. Damn.
  13. Have the bullpen up. As long as Gausman is doing well you keep him in but be prepared for a hook. The Jays can’t afford to give up more runs.
  14. Walking Ohtani has worked all series due to the rest of the lineup sucking ass, but clearly not what happened that inning. Need to hold them to 3 and hope the bats can chip away.
  15. I was 8/9 years old when the Jays went back to back, and while I have fond memories of those years, I think winning now after what we have seen as fans over the last 30+ years will mean more. Especially considering the expectations (practically none) coming into this season and how likable the team is. Very nervous energy for me right now. As someone else mentioned, I'm confident in this team but also very nervous about what could happen. Let's end it tonight and not have to worry about Game 7.
  16. Would be great if Springer is back and Bichette can play a full game at 2B. Lengthens the lineup out significantly. There isn't an easy AB in that lineup for a pitcher. Even Gimenez is having great PA's.
  17. Yeah if it goes to Game 7 then the Dodgers will just stack up their non-Yamamoto starters along with Sasaki for the entire game, while the Jays go with Max who has been solid in his last 2 starts but not sure I'd be super confident with him on the mound. Game 6 is huge. Hopefully they get better results against Yamamoto and Gausman has one more good start in him.
  18. Yeah this series is far from over, especially considering how Yamamoto looked in Game 2. Hopefully they have a better plan against him on Friday now that they’ve seen him.
  19. My earliest online message board memory was the AOL ones in the late 90’s. Not many Jays fans were there at the time, but when I no longer had AOL it morphed into many different sites over the last 20+ years which had much more traffic (like this one). All of us who have been on this message board run since the late 90’s or 2000’s have seen a lot of bad baseball. One more win this weekend and we can look back on those days as a journey rather than a punishment. But as Kobe said, job’s not finished. Get one more win this weekend.
