  1. For reasons like you said, I never considered Snell one of the elite arms in baseball.
  2. I'll buy a Votto jersey if he does. Rooting for him and hope he makes the team. One of the best hitters of this generation. Hope he has another big season or two left in the tank.
  3. Only a minor league deal and hope Votto could work his way on the team as a bench or platoon guy. One of the greatest hitters of this generation, so regardless, so cool to possibly see him play in a Jays uniform.
  4. Oh damn that's him? Thought it was a bot posting all that spam haha.
  5. Is Frenchsoup still on this message board? Haven't seen him post in a while lol.
  6. Unless he accepts a final bench spot on the Reds and if the Reds would want him back in that kind of role. Otherwise, Toronto's bench is quite full and he never had a desire to play for his home team, so yeah it's either back with the Reds or retire.
  7. Red Sox lucky to win 70-75 games with that rotation. Unless they do damage control and sign both Snell & Montgomery.
  8. I selected 85-89 wins but would say 85 or 86 wins to be exact. If they have some bounce backs from Vlad, and one of Springer/Varsho/Kirk and if the rotation stays relatively healthy, could see them being an 88-90 win team.
  9. I would definitely trade a middle reliever like Yimi for JD Davis if the Giants were willing to do that.
  10. The Off Topic forum is really a mess geez. Every thread is a spam thread now on the first page.
  11. Say anything critical about the Leafs, it's 100x worse haha.
  12. Yup was a fantastic trade by Atkins at the time. He wasn't a force like Josh Donaldson with the bat, but defensively was rock solid and provided tremendous value! Really solid two years here!
  13. I said at the time of the Green options being picked up and the IKF/KK signings that I had no issues with those deals as long as they don't financially strap the Jays from making other moves this offseason. Now I question those signings happening so early in the offseason since they prevented the Jays from adding better talent later on. I don't have an issue with signing Turner as a DH. Wasn't my first or second choice, but regardless the team needed to spend around that much for a DH bat anyways, even if they signed Chapman for 3B.
  14. Yeah very disappointing offseason. This team really never made any additions that greatly improved the roster. If anything, they likely will be worse. Have to hope Bo and Vlad both have MVP caliber years and hope for some bounce backs from Kirk, Varsho, Springer and Manoah.
  15. Deja vu!
  16. Chad Green was not a bargain.
  17. Worded perfectly. Atkins hasn't taken advantage of this so-called window, which is very unfortunate. Seems like they're happy being a borderline WC team every season.
  18. Brownie and Max post incoming!
  19. Thank you for rejecting that trade in the DDL haha.
  20. Yeah I could stash Hendriks on the IL and if he comes back healthy, I think he could return to elite form. We've seen relievers pitch well into their late 30's. As a team contending, don't want to waste a roster spot on Bauer if he doesn't sign anywhere and even if he does come back, doubt he pitches like a No. 1 or 2 starter.
  21. If you had to choose one to keep in a 20-team dynasty league: Trevor Bauer or Liam Hendriks?
  22. I actually agree with you for once. Had no issue on bringing in KK or IKF as long as it didn't tie them down financially from adding other impact players. Atkins always loves to act early in the offseason when it comes to filling up holes on the roster and probably rushed to sign KK and IKF just so he had bodies occupying those positions. Kind of the same thing when he rushed to sign Kendrys Morales to a three-year deal early in the offseason in fear of losing EE, when there were many DH type bats available. I bet even right now, good chance IKF and KK are still FA's. If Chapman signs a one-year deal around $20-23M, should definitely be with the Jays. Hope the IKF and KK signings prevent that from happening.

    Happy Birthday Boxcar!
  24. You can't be serious lol.
  25. Yeah depending on what I'm doing and if I have wifi access at that time haha.
