  1. I had no issue with the Green deal, though I wouldn't consider it a "bargain" like some others on here were raving about this past offseason. If Green stays healthy and returns to his prior form where he was a 1.5 - 2 WAR arm, fantastic. Obviously, there was a good amount of risk taken given that he's missed significant time and returning from TJS for a 30+ year old reliever. As well, teams take chances on high risk/reward type BP arms all the time, but they don't cost $10.5M. Look at the Red Sox signing Liam Hendriks this past offseason and when healthy he was a superior arm to Green.
  2. Well, it's quite easy when you guys are shills for Atkins and this front office.
  3. Great to see Manoah looking good on the mound. Hope he keeps it up and provides the Jays some valuable innings. Varsho is an easy guy to root for. If he makes some improvements offensively, he has the opportunity to be a stud. Would love to see him put together a .250/40 HR/25-30 SB type of season along with his defense.
  4. Yeah better than just reading "lol" posts for sure!
  5. Still defending the Green deal I see. You and some others will never let it go.
  6. I also owned a share in David Fry for maybe a week or so earlier in the season ugh.
  7. I think Bo will turn it around offensively. He'll hit .290-.300 with 20 HR's, 80 RBI and a low .800 POS when all is said and done. Maybe that's too optimistic, but that's where he has been around for his career. Never was a huge fan of his offensive skills, since he has low BB rates. Plus his defensive abilities are awful at shortstop and likely needs to be moved off from short in the near future. Wouldn't want the Jays to sign him to a long term extension anyways, though hopefully they could trade him this season or in the offseason for some assets.
  8. You're saying this to the biggest Ross Atkins homer on this board haha.
  9. Even after trading Burnes and losing Woodruff from their rotation, and being without Devin Williams for half the season, Brewers are still a force.
  10. You're definitely AA's toughest critic! Sucks they gave him up agreed. Not one of AA's best moves with the Braves.
  11. Chris Sale today with another brilliant outing! In 9 starts, he's 7-1 with a 2.22 ERA, 2.23 FIP and 0.86 WHIP over 56.2 innings with 70 K's and only 8 BB.
  12. Any criticism of the Blue Jays FO is unnecessary in your opinion. Welcome back by the way!

Yikes those last 10 mins. Made you sweat haha.
  14. Would definitely be nice to finish May at .500 or better. Gotta go on a winning streak of 6 or 7 games. Especially during this stretch of the schedule against the White Sox and Tigers.
  15. Jays lost first two games of this series, so they gotta win today and avoid the sweep at home. Tough for a team to get swept at home.
  16. White Sox will likely trade him at the deadline. Wonder what they could get for Erick Fedde who already as a 0.9 fWAR and a 2.60 ERA after 9 starts.
  17. At the end of the day, this front office did nothing in the offseason to address the major issue facing this team. I had no problem with signing KK and IKF as depth guys on the bench who might squeeze out 300 AB each, and if the money spent on them didn't tie up funds for other FA's. Atkins again jumped the gun early signing these guys, kind of like how he did with players like Morales, Roark etc. With Varsho already here and who could play CF, should have targeted a corner outfielder with some pop and there were plenty available this offseason who wouldn't have cost all that much. Someone capable of hitting around 20-30 HR's. I didn't mind the Green deal, but at the time never considered it a steal as some others like Brownie did. 32-year-old reliever coming off major surgery and a significant chunk of time missed were red flags. If Green is healthy, he can be great. Though not sure I would be handing out $10.5M for a lottery ticket, when those type of arms could be had for half the cost. E.g. Liam Hendriks. Always have been a fan of JT, but he wasn't even my third or fourth choice of available bats who could have signed as DH's here. 13M as well was a hefty price tag to pay. Vogelbach is still on the team? lol. I haven't even heard of him or seen him play at all. Waste of $2M guaranteed money.
  18. Term just loves to troll but he's the most rational of them at least and likely comes to terms that it's over with this front office. Brownie and Shatkins probably still think Atkins is one of the best GM's in baseball. They won't ever wave the white flag and admit defeat. Spanky will jump ship and "lol" his way onto the bandwagon.
  19. Haven't even seen Brownie post here the last couple of days lol. He probably goes down with the Atkins ship till the very end.
  20. Stanton isn't having that bad of a season himself. Blue Jays could actually use a bat like him.
  21. Not going to engage in a baseball discussion with someone who just responds "lol" to every post.
  22. Typical Spanky response lol.
