    Thank you I agree with this. Rogers is actually a nice guy to have in the pen. He brings some heat and strikeout potential and can be thrown into start a game in a pinch. Honestly if we're arguing about who is the last reliever in the pen, the guy who shows the best stuff & can give some innings should be chosen everytime. Who cares about Neil Wagner if he's going to pitch very few innings. Seriously.

    5 in a row and all of them were convincing wins. Even the extra inning affair Hutch threw the ball very well overall.

    I think the whole at bat he was looking to add an exclamation mark. Hard to read into what he does when it's 12-3. Just enjoy that he's extended his on base streak to EVERY GAME THIS SEASON instead of worrying if he's gonna slump.

    It's starting to change from a "maybe we'll try this" to a "we should try this" situation. Francisco is hitting out of his mind but he does have a nice approach and plenty of pop. How do you bench him?

    Who's holding their breath? Not me. You can cheer a team on and be happy when they win without being overly emotionally involved.

    Forgot about that. Thanks. Should be an easy win. Santiago brings some strikeout stuff but has shown he should be a reliever so far.

    Ya. It's a shame Santiago is pitching tonight. Would've been fun to see the Jays tee off on him.

    It really depends. I'm not an expert on how you calculate pitch framing, but from what I've heard it seems to be pretty volatile from year to year. Maybe his defence is good, but I'm not buying into Kratz's bat. He's got some pop but there's holes there that will produce long slumps IMO. He made some nice adjustments late as Zaun pointed out, but I would be quick to point out that he was outclassed more than the other hitters in prior at bats.

    He's probably fine but just a bit lazy when he feels any discomfort. At least he's a lot better than JPA.

    Overall Navarro is better and I don't think that's really up for debate. Kratz is a nice player to have on the bench, but doesn't fit on the roster at the moment. If you're going to say his receiving makes him the best catcher then you probably are buying into the hype that pitch framing is a huge deal.

    True, but you want to keep him on the roster, sacrificing an addition infielder for a platoon bat who's not necessarily going to rake vs LHP?

    Doesn't Kratz historically have worse numbers vs lefties? He's an ok guy to have around but who is he going to replace? You can't carry 3 catchers IMO.

    Francisco will probably stick for a while. It looks like Kratz will be the odd man out. If only Dickey didn't need his personal catcher then Thole could be optioned.

    I wish every pitcher were like Buehrle and Lee. Then the replay system wouldn't be so annoying.

    You are setting yourself up for disappointment then. If they're right there in July they will definitely trade for a win now piece, assuming the money available.
