  1. That's fair. Sorry, I just get mad when Jays fans get excited over low ranked prospects thinking they'll be good,. Not that you were doing that necessarily.
  2. No. I'm not only using 1.1 IP as my argument. I'm saying above AA he hasn't had particularly good numbers, so saying he shredded the minors up until he reached AAA is a pretty bad argument for saying he deserves a rotation spot, if that is what you believe? As for the 1.1 IP, I'm just saying he looked like he just flat out wasn't major league material. That could obviously change with more innings so it's not my main point... It's like when you see Goins at the plate. I see him take 5 ABs and to me it's obvious he can't hit at the MLB level. As for the average age comment, 23 is not young for a supposed prospect to be in AA.
  3. So he shredded AA when he was 23 and now in AAA his K's are down and his walks are up. Are you seriously using this as your argument?
  4. As much as I'd like to see Stroman start, I prefer Rogers over all the other options, not that it'll be him taking McGowan's spot. I'm just not sure why you think Nolin deserves a rotation spot. He was putting up very good but not great AA numbers at 23. Maybe you think he looks good this year but I still don't buy it.
  5. It should be Stroman but maybe he hasn't impressed them enough to get a start. I think he's shown good enough stuff and composure to get a shot, but maybe not. Since they're trying to win ballgames it'll probably be Redmond. He's more likely to at least keep them in ball games.
  6. I just remember one Nolin start when he came up and he looked really bad. As in, not major league material whatsoever. He's 24 and I believe spent most of last year in AA with good but unspectacular numbers for AA. Rogers would be a much better option than Nolin IMO.
  7. He's shown some nice pitches but I agree overall. Really, until he gets a shot to start a couple of games it's hard to have any judgement.
  8. He'd be fine. He is prone to homeruns but is a legitimate starting pitcher who can go out there every fifth day and throw some innings. Happ and McGowan can't do this and Stroman is a question mark.
  9. Nothing is up with Stroman. Unfortunately he's not a huge prospect, just a guy who should become decent. It's his first go with the big club what do you expect? He should still get a chance to start over Happ or McGowan. I can't believe 40% of the Jays rotation are those two guys.
  10. I like Ogando but he clearly gets gassed too much to be a starter.
  11. Agree with you there. It's fun being there with the big Yankees/Red Sox weekend crowds, but the nothing games with a couple good pitchers going are gold Jerry, gold!
  12. I don't think he's going to AAA anytime soon. No offense to some people, but anyone citing his ERA and WHIP probably haven't seen him actually pitch any games this year.
  13. Salazar is going through a rough patch. He'll be fine. It's funny how a bad month or so from a highly touted young pitcher is getting people off the bandwagon. He has 44 strikeouts in 36 innings and is 24. The rest will follow soon IMO.
  14. Agree completely. Stroman can't be any worse than Happ, can he? Just give him a shot FFS. If he sucks then at least you gave one of your top prospects a look instead of throwing an equally as bad Happ out there with nothing really to gain except for a tiny and insignificant bit of trade value that probably won't come to fruition anyways.
  15. I haven't seen too much of Salazar but from what I have it seems like he's going to develop into a really good pitcher. Kluber isn't a bad pitcher either. That being said, the O can bail them out of any game, so hopefully it does the next two games.
  16. Nice two wins. Now it's time for the bad pitchers the next two days.
  17. Not sure what's being said but the Jays lost a close game with their worst starter (if Stroman starts) against who I think is the Angels best pitcher. I don't know if there's reactionary stuff but it's been one game and was a close one despite the pitching mismatch.
  18. Ok the review is really annoying. I am sorry to those people who think the call should be correct everytime, but it is annoying and case closed.
  19. crap. Thanks for the update though, pitching line often doesn't reveal enough info.
  20. Ya I believe Blackmon was 3rd in the MLB when I checked, and I'm sure Tulo was up there too. They will come back down to earth.
