  1. Thanks also to Elvis Andrus for allowing us to watch an extra 6 games and witness the Bautista bat flip
  2. I just wish we could have had Buck and Tabler call the playoff games. Otherwise it was a fun postseason and awesome 2 months leading up to it. Life goes on.
  3. Totally forgot this was Joe Carter's anniversary day. Hopefully the gods help us!
  4. No chance the Royals have anything to do with this, come on man.
  5. lol I didn't realize this was true until now. I thought white republican Americans only hated blacks, hispanics, and some people from Asia. Didn't know we were on this church's hitlist!
  6. Watched the game with a Dodgers fan Wednesday. Here are a few things I learned: Stroman is going to fall off a cliff within the next few seasons Price is a very good pitcher but not a true ace Ned Yost is a good manager The Royals have a better team for the playoffs than the Jays
  7. Yes, let's stay optimistic! But also being a realist, Ventura has the ability to dominate when he is on, and of course Cueto too. Let's hope Ventura is a bit erratic and Price can come up big first.
  8. How are they arriving at those numbers? I think with a basic WAR model you end up with around a 55% chance of winning tomorrow, and probably about a coin flip in game 7 leading to a 27.5% chance of winning the series. They probably made some adjustments as all good gamblers do
  9. lol obviously teams adjust their projections based on things they can't completely quantify. They also have much better analytic teams than people give them credit for. Amaro is one of the exceptions, not the rule.
  10. Agree. I like Holland, he seems like a funny and honest guy. His Schwarzenegger impressions were pretty good.
  11. That's funny, because after his start to the season everyone wanted him gone from his SSS of not striking anyone out. Guy is as close to 0 injury risk as anyone and a lock for 200 IP, worth every penny! Now the other 3 rotation spots, there's a question they have to answer. Samardzija, some back end guy like Colon for a 1 year deal and Osuna/Sanchez sounds ok.
  12. I mean, if you're picking the lesser of a bunch of evils. I personally don't want to watch a 4.5 BB/9 reliever in any playoff game but that's just me.
  13. That would be great, he's a likeable guy and regardless of where he signs I'll be supporting him.
  14. No chance he gets 4 years IMO.
  15. Yeah I think Estrada is a decent pitcher. The thing with him is you probably know what you're getting... not a lot of upside but a pretty high floor. It'll be interesting to see how many years he can bag.
  16. I wouldn't count Stroman out, Dickey could easily go Saturday if they make it there
  17. Yeah of course. Gotta like their chances on Friday, if they can get through that then game 7 is probably a toss up (betting odds, I would anticipate the Jays to be slight slight favourites).
  18. Ok, but you realize they have their 2 best pitchers going too, right?
  19. lol reminds me of this one from a few weeks back:
  20. Yes. Friday night in KC, just hoping for more entertaining games now.
  21. Never used stubhub so thanks! That would be ideal, but I live a good 60-90 minute drive from Rogers Centre. Maybe I'll check around 1:30.
  22. How safe is stubhub? There's an OF single for $65 that seems way too low.
