  1. Estrada looked great. Fell behind a bit but awesome changeup and fun to watch him get away with high fastballs because of the changeup threat.
  2. Ok I don't know whiskeys. Not my drink. Grimsby is a boring town but it's not a bad place to grow up.
  3. That's in my hometown! Yeah I mean for a cheap whiskey I don't mind it. Certainly better than CC or Wisers IMO.
  4. Confirmed... Price and Stroman both available tonight.
  5. Is Price available out of the pen tonight? Without Cecil they might need him to get through Choo, Fielder.
  6. Ok thank god Tabler didn't agree with Zaun there. Come on man
  7. It is really annoying reading some of these posts the last two days. Just enjoy October baseball, AA built the best team on paper and we've all had an exciting 2 months of ball.
  8. Are realaccountant and I the only 2 people who think Navarro should be starting? The guy has chemistry with Estrada and it's been working. I wouldn't mess with that despite the downgrade in D.
  9. Someone man up and do the GDT. I would do it again but I do not think that will go over well lol
  10. Yeah but Odor and DeShields will steal at will with Navarro catching. But at this point in the season, you can't mess with what's working. Estrada prefers to pitch to Navarro so let him start over Martin.
  11. I think many casuals will be calling Wilner upset about the decision if Estrada pitches poorly and they lose, but we'll see (actually we won't because I try not to listen to that garbage anymore).
  12. That could be true. The thing is not many people are complaining right now, but if Estrada gets lit tonight the pitch forks will come out.
  13. Surprisingly, there haven't been many people complaining about this decision. Both guys have been great for the Jays in the second half, but if you look at the season as a whole: Dickey 3.92 DRA, 4.72 xFIP but once again his ERA outperformed his xFIP which could be the case with knuckleballers. Also he seems to struggle in cold or windy weather which won't be the a problem tonight. Estrada 3.40 DRA, 4.93 xFIP but I think it's clear he has an excellent changeup which (correct if wrong) may help him outperform some of his peripherals. When you consider the guy has a GB rate 10% lower than Dickey's in the bandbox of Texas there is a very good case for him being the wrong choice. One thing to consider is that the knuckleball might have a better chance of being completely ineffective so maybe Dickey has a better chance of gas-canning, but I'm not convinced that's the case. Does anyone think Estrada is the wrong choice here? The season hinges on a guy who people have been waiting to blow up for months now, let's hope tonight is not the night!
  14. Thanks that was an interesting post. It makes perfect sense to penalize them especially because with a lot of the Mexican, etc players they sometimes believe being a little more reckless is the "right way" to play the game. The rule would teach them a little more professionalism.
  15. What do you propose is the rule though? If the guy is out it doesn't matter. They're not kicking anyone out of the game for that, and even so is that a legit ruling?
  16. Missed that game but the Calgary/Canucks overtime was awesome. Love this rule, 3 on 3 is awesome and super fun!
  17. Yeah exactly what I meant. Was not cheering for them initially and definitely not now. The Mets have a pretty entertaining team and have had a lot of losing over the years. Would be nice to see them have a deep playoff run.
  18. Anyone actually cheering for the Dodgers?
  19. Just turned the game on. Is there a reason why they're using Colon?
  20. King Kong Bundy!! I am surprised he is still alive.
  21. The Jays are still +240 to win the series, that equals a 29.4% chance. Obviously there is juice there but those odds should keep fans optimistic. Perez is garbage and Price will be used Monday if they get there.
  22. The approach vs Gallardo was terrible for the 3rd time this year. Yesterday they swung the bats well enough, but Martin should be embarrassed about that throw I'll give you that.
