    Yeah I'm not sure why people are in this thread and over social media freaking out. AA seemed to be a good, improving GM but it's not like they're bringing in the Red Sox 1st base coach to replace him. I think Shapiro gets someone who he is completely on the same page with to replace him which would be fine.

    Exactly. Looking back he seemed like a pretty good GM overall but terrible for PR. That one time he said Adam Dunn doesn't enjoy playing baseball was hilarious but embarrassing for the franchise.

    Totally agree on de la Rosa. He seemed to have some upside when he was in Boston and is still young.

    Forgot about that. Why can't you flip flop? I went from liking Yordano Ventura last season to hating his guts. If he grows up I might start liking him again down the road. He does have a nice arsenal to watch.

    I think he threw way less 2-seam fastballs so his GB rate dropped. Get him on the cheap hopefully. I'd also like them to sign Estrada but we'll see how much he gets.

    I meant the 2012-2014 Phillies, when they had Franco as their only legit prospect waiting IIRC. Brown was their only good young talent and ended up having 1 good season and then turning into nothing. The Jays are nowhere near that.

    Agree, the comparison to the Phillies is ridiculous. They had Brown (ended up busting), and have Franco and Nola. Crawford is still not close, I think that's all they have. The Jays are in a much better position and after next season have a lot off the books.

    No his floor is really high, and everyone who watches him realizes he's an elite player who could still show a lot more power. Even if the power doesn't come, he's still a great player and 200m isn't bad for his age.

    Bartolo Colon would be a cheap old option as well. Not as good obviously, but can fill in the 5th spot when Sanchez loses his control again. I like that he seems durable and doesn't walk anyone, reminds me of David Wells when he got old. Just threw s*** over the plate and racked up a bunch of innings and quality starts.

    Yeah semantics... some may think F/A+ are too extreme and only reserved for Billy Buckner/David Freese situations respectively lol. Clearly Martin was absolutely brutal no matter how you slice it and Estrada was Acestrada.

    Most of them played well and get somewhere between a C+ and a B+ depending on how you look at it. The only 2 grades that are not debatable in my opinion are: Russell Martin: F Marco Estrada: A+
