    Pretty gross outlook going forward they need to get lucky and have several of Pearson, Tiedemann, Zulueta, Robberse, Barriera, Macko etc. turn into quality MLB players over the next two years.

    Looked like week 1 of spring training today. I don't think the Jays had one good swing. Maybe Kiermaier's single was on the barrel, sort of?

    How about remove the extra runner But the managers can go from the top of the lineup in every inning of extra innings if they want it would almost be like a shootout just the best hitters leading off, over and over Springer Bo Vlad in the 10th Springer Bo Vlad in the 11th hahaha

    How do you know he poses no danger? Anyone who runs onto the field is an unpredictable idiot. The ring box could have been a bomb!

    I fully support the cops/security spearing any trespassers onto the field as violently as possible. Ideally, anyone who steps onto the field ends up with whiplash AT THE LEAST. Cervical damage is warranted.

    Yeah I doubt it. Wells - Rios - Johnson was a really good defensive alignment at times. That's probably as close as you can get. Johnson was like a poor man's Pillar, prime Wells was smooth as f***, and Rios had range and a cannon. Maybe one of the years with Barfield and Moseby was excellent in all three positions? Probably just two spots though.

    I really like the resetting the lineup idea! Never heard that before.

    I don't know if the Jays had a lot of chances to run. They did make a number of aggressive baserunning plays though: KK 1st to 3rd Springer 1st to 3rd Vlad taking 2nd and almost getting thrown out Bo running through the stop sign to score a run

    I bet their percentiles include ALL players of all samples. That will push regulars up as the other plays in the sample will be worse but, for Varsho it doesn't really matter. whether you put a 57 or a 60 on the raw power is basically the same.

    yeah it's definitely close to plus raw power. it the upper end of the first standard deviation. 252 qualified hitters in statcast last year... 112.5 max EV would be 75th of 252 that's like 70th percentile also at 112.5 max EV in 2022: Renfroe, Trea Turner, Sal Perez I have this in my head as a rule of thumb: <104 = 20 raw power 104 = 30 begins 108 = 40 begins 110 = "pure" 50 113 = 60 begins 115 = 70 begins 118 = 80 begins almost 70% of mlb players should be between like 108 and 113, that's roughly the two lines one SD around mean raw power some of these might be off by 1 mph

    he's horrible it's remarkable, sometimes, how drastically scouts can miss on a player the nationals are so depressing. it's reaching a point where fans must be wondering if the world series was even worth it.
