  1. I am the most consistent person on this message board
  2. As bad as this season has been at least the Yankees, Red Sox, and Astros also suck. Toronto is one game back or that s***** last WC spot. Seattle and Cleveland are also dogshit and behind the pack The Angels are doing okay but they probably lose 13 in a row soon. Keep Spirit.
  3. McCullers might be f***ed. I am protecting the meatball over Lance.
  4. Ashcraft has a 124 stuff+ this year. He's a sleeping giant, if he can put it all together. Yeah they probably should spend money on the team this offseason. Add a big bat and SP. They won't though, haha.
  5. Sale or McCullers. Probably Sale tbh because of age.
  6. ehhhhhh maybe not this year but they look really f***ing good they were able to very quickly plug holes with guys who now look like league average position players. Friedl, Fraley, and Steer now cover LF/CF and 1B or 3B and they control them for a few years at least. India is a quality incumbent controllable for a few more years. There is 2B. Stephenson is playing poorly but has been good in the past. I think they can consider C covered. McLain looks real. SS covered. Elly looks like a freak. That's the remaining infield position covered. Senzel is a wild card. Maybe a decent bench player for a couple of years. So they need to find probably ONE full time position player for next year and they have a lot of hot prospects to choose from. CES, Neolvi Marte, Edwin Arroyo, Cam Collier... Greene + Ashcraft + Lodolo + Abbott + Williamson + Lyon Richardson + Connor Phillips + Chase Petty is also some pretty nice young SP depth.
  7. I don't watch much golf these days but that seemed like a bit of a wacky course
  8. that's sad if true because he was a solid player AND very consistent just look at his wRC+ or WAR year to year. Never a below average hitter and never a replacement level player, even at his worst
  9. Does Orelvis go oppo often or is he more of a pull everything slugger?
  10. yeah if anything he probably has less power than whit merrifield for most of his career had solid average pop. maybe not anymore
  11. not more power
  12. The Red Sox series was a fluke But the shitbirds are living rent free in all of our heads
  13. it's like drone warfare
  14. 2022 WAR per 600 PA Espinal 2.81 Biggio 2.57 In theory they could platoon and be a 3+ WAR 2B...
  15. Very similar players Witt is just the 50 hit tool version of Bo Bichette
  16. I think they plan on it. They've pushed him to 2 innings for half of his appearances in the last month. If they get some opportunities I think we might soon see them ask him for 3 innings here and there. Then maybe a 4 IP start. Sort of like what Boston did recently with Kutter Crawford. Then at the end of this year they can go either way with him. He could be a starter the close the season, or back to the pen if that makes sense for the team. But in 2024 they'd try him as a SP one last time. What the current state of SP depth in the organization they kind of have to do this. It might be a different story if there were multiple good SP prospects in AAA and AA.
  17. I'm ashamed of you. You've known me long enough to get it.
  18. It's insane
  19. Okay but if the team sucks and isn't good enough what will your excuse be THEN!? WILL YOU APOLOGIZE TO THE LEVEL HEADED POSTERS WHO PLAYED BOTH SIDES AND NEVER HAD A STRONG OPINION AND WERE UNFAIRLY CRITIQUED AND THEN UNJUSTLY BANNED FOR TWENTY FOUR HOURS WITH NO EXPLANATION!?!?!?
  20. Because... They play.... Worse teams... On average...

  23. Well there was every reason to believe Baltimore should have broke the bank this past offseason, and they did not. So we have early evidence that they are still going to pinch pennies.
  24. Chapman, sigh. Not hopeful here.
