Yeah. If it was just the injuries, or just the mediocre performance, or just the fact that he's a garbage person, he'd be an attractive asset. The fact that it's all 3 is just infuriating. Between the hamstring injuries and being a complete POS, he almost never plays. And when he does play, he's a 0.325 wOBA guy now anyway.
It's no coincidence that the two people most vocally critical of this trade went into the 2016 season relying on him in a dynasty league. Never again. That clown will be out of baseball soon.
The last time I had an ace with fantastic mechanics and perceived low injury risk he put up a 4.5 ERA and his shoulder exploded. Actually there are a lot of similarities between the two. Hopefully Hendricks has a better follow up to his breakout season than Keuchel.
Reminder that I want to sell a SP (probably not Rodon, but one of Gonzalez, Odorizzi, Chen, Wright, Kennedy, Gsellman, Cotton) for a 1B, 2B, or 3B. Willing to add picks/prospects/relievers for the right deal.
So you're declining my offer then?
I think I have vanilla king Kole Calhoun to show for Montas after we finished passing Gattis around, so I'm OK with it.
I have one more SP than I want to protect, and would like to move one (likely Gio, Chen, Wright, Kennedy, or Gsellman) in a deal for an improvement on Kendrick or Valbuena at 2B or 3B, or for a 1B. I have picks/prospects to facilitate a deal.
I also have two of Bedrosian/Baez/Rivero/Givens/Ziegler/Biagini available for waiver or MiLB upgrades (or as additions to a bigger deal).
It was close last year: 4.5 games. I've downgraded by replacing Cabrera with Tim Anderson and Keuchel with Gsellman and Cotton, and you've downgraded by losing Ortiz. I think we're still close enough to make a $20 bet fair.
