  1. It’s also been like half the season. Like, it’s great that you’ll be fine but you’ve already cost the team wins by playing like s*** for 70 games Even a 4-war season is basically off the table now and he’s being paid to put up 5+
  2. 110 wRC+ in his first year of a 500M deal is absolutely humiliating for him.
  3. While we're piling on the Orioles, I think there might be something wrong mentally with Mike Elias. They missed the playoffs last year because their rotation was absolute cheeks, and their solution was to trade for Shane Baz, sign Chris Bassitt, assume that Trevor Rogers was actually an ace, and run it back. Dude is so invested in being the smartest guy in the room that he's going to waste one of the best offensive cores of the last decade trying to prove that actually he can just pluck good SPs from the scrap heap. Reminds me of a roommate I had in university who never went to class because the professors just taught from the textbook anyway, and then just failed out of school and has worked retail ever since.
  4. Yeah. People mostly understand that luck is a thing and things need time to stabilize. But they struggle with that idea for relievers because it feels like a multi-month stretch should be long enough. But its still only like 25-30 innings and there's no reason why things like BABIP or HR/FB would have stabilized by then, even if people would have liked them to. Reality is that it's basically impossible to run a 25% K-BB% and actually be a bad pitcher. If the team listened to the fanbase and DFA'd him everyone would be whining when he's running a 2.5 ERA for the Rays for the rest of the season while basically doing the same thing he's doing now.
  5. This one seems kind of crazy. He had a 0.343 SLG in AA last year, and hasn't ever hit for power before this season. FG had him as the 11th best prospect in the system going into 2026. Brewers obviously have a huge amount of faith in their own tools of evaluation, because 31M isn't a small amount of money for them.
  6. OK, I have no idea who this guy is https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/06/brewers-luis-lara-agree-to-extension.html
  7. Probably best not to lose anyone from the roster permanently for Scherzer. Feels like he’s going to come back, get nuked, then never be heard from again
  8. So how much leash does Gimenez actually have as an everyday player? The team can't pencil him in as their starting SS next year if he keeps hitting like he has the last 2.5 years, and its hard to see that changing at this point.
  9. Jeff Hoffman and the Worst BABIP of All Time | FanGraphs Baseball
  10. Good. DeGrom is a HoFer for me - 2 CY awards, a ROY, and career ERA of like 2.6. At his peak he's the most dominant pitcher I've ever seen. He'll get to 2,000 Ks this year. 50 fWAR early next year. And still an outside shot at 2000 innings (395 IP away). I think it will be enough to get him inducted.
  11. Mets. Maybe the Red Sox, but they're pretty cheap now.
  12. DeGrom got his 100th career win last night
  13. 3 HR in 245 PA is absurd. He has a worse ISO than Luis Arraez, Bo, Caleb Durbin, and Cedric Mullins
  14. I don't really understand this post because the Orioles are terrible
  15. I guess Spencer Miles is just an ace now? Pretty cool development.
  16. Your posts always show up outlined in gold with a gold star. You must be very special.
  17. Misiorowski threw 57 pitches over 100 mph yesterday. I don't know if anyone can physically keep this up.
  18. I love that having a hit and a walk legitimately qualifies as one of his best games of the year
  19. Buster Posey appears to have absolutely no idea what he's doing
  20. It took one month for Lauer to go from complaining about his usage and saying an opener was beneath him to being DFA'd. Life comes at your fast.
  21. So Okamoto now projected to end the season with about 3.5 fWAR and Bo with about 3.0. Looks like another masterful gambit from Aktins
  22. Trevor Bauer is now Kenny Powers
  23. Goddamn. Kind of funny that it’s all football and basketball
