  2. You have to wonder if maybe we'll go position players for the international signing period in July.
  3. Can't really argue with what Gibby said was the reasoning. Pitch count of 80, rather than let him face the first batter chose to have Loup come out for a clean start.
  4. Boni looked like he was sitting on that breaking ball.
  5. I'm not sure I've ever seen so many breaking balls in 3 innings ...
  6. Hopefully we make an adjustment against those breaking balls second time through, because he's eating us alive with them atm.
  7. That may literally mean that KC has poached 3 guys on us this draft.
  8. I don't mind this move. He's been decent down in AAA so far this year, and with the way the ball has been flying out of RC this year another ground ball pitcher can't be a bad thing. He's also given up 1 or less runs in 6 of his 9 starts this year, and one total in his last 3.
  9. I wonder if we'll take Cal Quantrill with our pick next round? Seems to be around the right area to draft him, and I really like what I've read about him.
  10. The list of who they are is linked from that page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Canadians_by_net_worth

  12. I'm perfectly okay with that too.
  13. ... and as they're talking about Shelby Miller and pitching on TV, he hits a home run in the actual game. edited to say... followed by Carpenter with a home run. Previous draft picks know when to hit them!
  14. I think it's going to depend on how he finishes off the year. If he's lights out, we probably will be forced to let him walk. If he's good but not great, there may be the opportunity to resign him. If we're out of it at the deadline, we may be able to trade him for a bigger return than the picks would produce.
  15. 10th pick. We were 9th this year, but pushed down one due to someone being unsigned last year higher up. That of course assumes no one from higher this year goes unsigned.
  16. I wonder if we'll get him signed under slot and trade for a competitive balance pick for someone who falls? Don't like the pick though with Shipley and McGuire still on the board.
  17. I'd be okay if it's McGuire, but I don't know how you pass on Shipley here
  18. Yes! One of Shipley or Meadows will be available for us!
  19. Ball if off the board, first thing that went right for us!
  20. If it's bad, then we can punt the pick to next year. It might? also give us a protected pick next year if we do want to sign someone like McCann.
  21. Well, so far it's matching Law's last talent rankings, so this 5 pick should be Meadows if the trend continues.
