A little wild, but good life and stuff. DeRosa clanked a dp ball and failed to get an out that really hurt. I think first time back they wanted to make sure they didn't run McGowan's pitch count up.
It's also possible that all the negative attention will finally make JPA realize he's gotta make some changes. He has the bat and pitch recognition to be a very good hitter. It's all approach right now that's the issue.
Wow, that ball JUST got in a little on Jose or it's gone. I disagree with McGowan here (although I'm really excited to see him). Cecil would make a lot more sense, let Dustin get in a game or two without the game on the line before throwing him out there.
Tewes sounds really intriguing. You have to wonder if we'll take a bunch of hard to sign guys now, and hope one or two accept. May as well at this point in the draft.
Jays seem to have prioritized up the middle for hitters for a while now. C, SS, and CF, with the thought that you can trade those types for whatever other positions you need if necessary. Unfortunately we suck at developing up the middle guys.
Darvish getting squeezed a little (at least compared to what we're used to seeing get called). It's nice to see that happen to an opposing pitcher for once.
I seem to remember some interviews earlier that when Darvish was growing up his dad insisted on him learning English and was made to speak it at home. imo it's hilarious that as soon as he comes to the majors he needs an interpreter.
