  1. I agree. Bunch of question marks. Could turn into an Oakland rotation, or could be a total disaster and people freaking out screaming at AA for not fixing the rotation.
  2. Keyword is ceiling. Which means we could see that or we can see a 5+ ERA season from any one of those guys.
  3. I should delete this whole f***ing forum. What a f***ing joke this team has become. f***ing embarrassing.
  4. Wondering the same. I bet the bench coach (forget his name) follows Maddon though. However, maybe this is his chance to be Manager and he takes it.
  5. I'm a Hech fan, and I'll stick by him. You gotta admit, you didn't expect him to hit .270. I think he'll keep improving. I haven't seen him at all this year, but I thought for sure this guy was a future GG.
  6. Buck and Pat are not middle of the pack, are you kidding me? These guys are tops. Did you not listen to the broadcast today? They informed us that when the Jays hit 3 homeruns in the game, they have a very good record, can you believe that? Then they went on to inform us that when the Jays win EE is hitting well, while in losses he isn't hitting well. Could it possibly be that when the Jays face a poor pitcher, the Jays are more likely to win, and EE is more likely to have better numbers? Nope, it means EE determines if we win or lose.
  7. Yeah, busy as s*** right now. On the road a lot, took a new job, while starting a new online business as well. So I have no time for anything right now.
  8. Me too, I wanted him back in the Halladay trade.
  9. Had an issue this morning, all good now. Thanks Hurl for the email. I was away from computer, luckily could get it fixed.
  10. I agree. But I also think there were deals that could have been made where he just didn't pull the trigger. But yeah, hard to do anything when your front office decides half way through building a contending team that, "yeah this is about good enough, lets' stop here and see how it plays out."
  11. I believe at the time he was predicted to be a #3-#4 starter. If the #11 pick the MLB draft is predicted to be a mid to bottom rotation player, why not go for a HS gamble? This was a Russ Adams pick. "Polished" near mlb ready that wasn't predicted to be anything more than 'okay', if anything.
  12. That could also be Spany's mottoo.
  13. Obviously it was one outing and we'll have to see how his control is, but his 'stuff' is filthy. 98 with movement like that reminds me of Brandon League. His breaking ball looked good too, but they weren't biting on it too much. And he was so fluid, he barely looked like he was throwing hard. I definitely didn't expect him to look that good.
  14. He wasn't yelling at Colby he was yelling at JPA for another f*** up! jk
  15. The same people that built this poor roster.
  16. I was in GDT briefly so I probably missed a whole bunch of s***. But I saw people bitching at members/trolls, for saying stuff like "f*** this team." "this team sucks" etc, and calling for bans. Okay if I missed it and they posted it 20 times in a row, yes they should be banned. But if someone wants to say f*** this team, or this team sucks, then let them. Why do you guys get so riled up over the smallest s***. This team has been f***ing garbage the majority of the time lately and people are fed up. Some of you guys are pissed off and emotions are all messed up because because the Jays lose, and any little comment rubs you the wrong way, you guys lose your s***. Just ignore it. Ten people replying back and creating an arguement doesn't help, it just makes it ten times messier in there.
  17. Yeah but with prospects they are still a gamble, but you trade for what should be proven. Agree after accept the trade he hasn't been too bad, but I still think this team needs an ace, Buehrle has been our only consistent starter, and that's kinda scary since he's pitching over his head.
  18. Those are two off the top of my head, there were more than two. Yes expectations were high, we acquired an ACE, we gave up prospects for an ACE. I simply can't stand when people here say, "If you drop your expectations for him he's not bad." My expectations for him were to be an ace. We traded for an ace. If Dickey had a 4ERA for the past 3 years and we gave up a couple mid level prospects, then I would say okay, Dickey has done his role. But we blew two high rated prospects to acquire an ace. On top of that, no he hasnt' been too bad, it's the fact that he's inconsistent and you're sitting there wondering what inning he's going to have his meltdown. IMO Gibby has pulled him at the right time. All the sudden everyone's hitting off him, guys are walking, get him out. Look at his numbers in the later innings, it's not a coincidence and odds are against him that he'll bail himself out.
  19. Man that sucks for Reimold. Hitting well in AAA, gets his chance up here, hits well in a few games and gets hurt.
  20. Dickey sucks. Anyone that defends him gets banned. Mods included. In all seriousness, I still have zero faith in Dickey but in his first four games he gave up 5+ runs three times. Since then he's had a 3.28ERA over 15 starts. That being said there was atleast two occassions off the top of my head he was bailed out. Those two times bases loaded and no outs. So his ERA could just as easily be closer to four, which still isn't too bad. From June 26 on, last year, he had a 3.46ERA. Still the fact he can blow up any minute for four runs scares the s*** out of me. Even if he's cruising along after five innings, you wonder when it's coming. ANd I'm sure the players have the same uneasy feeling.
  21. ECJF. Pretends he's alpha, we know better.
  22. How do they know he won't be fine tomorrow? Because Jays are finalizing a deal for him, that's why!
  23. Yeah, I actually think he will pull that card again. Tough to say. Yeah they have the edge, but you put Dickey out there, who I dislike, but you just never know if he will have a lights out performance. Same with Stroman. He looked brutal out there last outing, but dominated the rest. Odds aren't there, but you never know who's on their game come playoffs. If I went into the playoffs with Dickey starting I'd have such a short leash on him it wouldn't even be funny. One slip up he'd be out. Mind you his implosions come out of nowhere most the time. Hit here, walk here, and bam 3 run homerun.
  24. AA can BS anyone, his job is safe. Look how long you all fell for it! muahaha
  25. Contract was ridiculous and could have easily backfired. But by the way he's pitched this year, it looks like he could be up for the Cy Young every year. Darvish, now Tanaka, whoever the next one is, he's probably going to get an even crazier contract.
