  1. Only 7Ks LOL!
  2. I'm not a huge advanced stats guy, and with the little I've followed over the last year or two, I'm behind on everything. But FIP/xFIP was one of the reasons I suggest we buy low on Arrieta in 2012, even with a 6+ERA. His FIP/xFIP was 4.05/.365. K rates were good, walk rate was good, high BABIP (.320). Arrieta has turned into one of the best pitchers in baseball over the last two years. You actually compare Arrieta's 2012 with Hutch's 2015, they aren't too different.
  3. Jays, Yanks, O's, 7-3 in last ten. Can't gain ground!
  4. Yep. That's why I wanna go after Price, even if it costs a ton and he bombs after four years. This team has a chance to win it all every year for the next few years. This is what it was supposed to feel like after the FL/NY trades. A dominant team for 3-4 year window.
  5. Was not happy with this team after Marlins trade. Was not happy after Mets trade. But with pickup of Price and Tulo, I'm finally excited again for this team, even though we gave up a lot of prospects. This team is solid top to bottom.
  6. Hence the comparison to Verlander.
  7. Yeah I know it's probably not the best investment, but I just want an ace so bad lol. Sabathia is another example. So tired of not knowing what version of our pitcher we are going to get for that specific day.
  8. Price is too good, he'll be solid for atleast another five years. It's too bad we had to get rid of Norris.
  9. I know many will disagree but I hope this team does everything it can to try and keep Price here. A legit #1 just gives you a bit of comfort every five days. Was so nice when we had Halladay.
  10. I know someone that played independant ball, they definitely find other ways to make money. MLB minor leagues is no different though, they barely make anything either.
  11. I'd take Revere but wouldn't give up much for him. Pompey would be good enough if they're asking too much.
  12. Said Jays should get Revere a week ago. Bet AA reads the forum and values my opinion.
  13. Hitting .320/.355 vs Righties. Platoon with Valencia. Good for late game pinch runner too.
  14. Drives me insane that they'll see his BA at .300+ and think that warrants playing time.
  15. Dan Haren
  16. Astros are garbage, they won't make the playoffs, you heard it here first!
  17. At what point does this organization realize he shouldn't be on the field? Peaked June 19th hitting .350/.392 . Before today's game he's down to .312/.356. That's 25 games in which he's hitting .225/.278 with below average defense, of course. Appreciate what he's done, but it's time to go.
  18. Pretty cool that he just seems like a huge Jays fan still.
  19. Exactly. They went half way in after that trade and still had holes. Get someone in LF and we're pretty solid.
  20. Don't hate it. BUt if you're going all in, you go all in. Didn't like the Dickey trade. Didn't like the Marlins trade. But I don't mind making this trade at this point. Hope we can re-sign him. That being said, this is a buyer's market. Probably could have found someone not quite as good but a lot cheaper.
  21. Hope not but I could see AA going after Haren.
  22. Still wanna see AA get Revere for LF and platoon with Valencia.
  23. That's exactly what I think they're trying to do, be 'innovative'. Unless someone can show any possible reason for this to be a good idea, this is just retarded.
  24. Exactly. I can deal with Hoffman becoming good because Tulo will have atleast a few years of well above average ball. Dickey was a risky move from day one.
