Another possible sweep

If Brews sweep the Rays tonight, they'll standalone as the longest postseason win streak in history (of a single postseason that is).

They'd tie the 1999 Yankees and 2005 White Sox as the only teams in MLB history to go 11-1 in the playoffs.

We go from Tyson/holifield matchup last year to washed up UFC fighter beating up random bums on the street.  Very disappointing mlb

2023 WS stunk, as did the 2024 series.

2025 was electric

Lookin like the 2026 edition will be underwhelming as well

Apparently Contreras has been wearing ear plugs since the Dodgers series.  Says he wants it quiet and that it helps him concentrate.

Love these little stories.

I know this World Series hasn't been super competitive, but man - I LOVE baseball and I've loved watching the Brew Crew dominate.  I've also enjoyed watching TB battle back.  I'm so sad that the baseball season could be over tonight - especially with a lockout/strike looming :(

I wonder what the viewership ratings will be like?  Got to be low.

Part of the script.

Brewers will win at home in Game 6.

Has a team ever forced a game 6 after being down 3-0 in the World Series?

I just want it to end so free agency can start. 😄

Same. November could be a really fun offseason month as teams try to get their signings in before the CBA expires.

Yeah if I recall November before the last lockout was very active. Hopefully the Brewers end it tonight and we can get on to the off season. I know we won't have baseball for at least 4 months (maybe more if the owners/PA end up torpedoing the league's momentum with a lockout that extends through March), but let the Brewers end this tonight, celebrate a much deserved title, and then we head to the hot stove.

We know Atkins likes to get things done early too when he can

Haha never has happened. But we're in a different era of baseball and sports in general right now.

Could end tonight possibly, but Game 6 would be another $70-$100 million in revenue. Plus an extra game for the sportsbooks, Vegas and the Polymarket.

As well, from a storyline/entertainment perspective, how sweet would it be for Milwaukee to win it in front of their fans at home after all these years?

I thought that it was done after the Pratt HR, that Joey Ortiz throw was yikes, snowballed after that, 3 very good games so far. Rays live another day, wanted to see history last night with 9 straight W's but the Dingleberry Rays scratch and crawled to live another day! Playball!!!! Lets Play Baseball GIF

Kind of surreal that this the last Major League Baseball game were going to watch for a very long time.

Fear mongering. There will likely be a lockout, but I doubt the season doesn’t start by around May
