Who closing tomorrow?  Brandon Little?

You f***ing chuds.  You want Miles to go tomorrow?  Your complaining that he's at his limits and what are you going to do ?  Let him go 45 pitches only for Lerizon or Brandon Little or someone to give up 5.

f*** this franchise.  Start lorenzen, then little, then who-ever.   Pitch Miles 8th and 9th if it still a game.  Otherwise don't hurt the guy for a futile effort.

Please close this thread.  Hell close this entire god awful message board.

Close the thread.  Start the off-season thread.

If Jays hurt Cease, Miles, Varland, Yesivage, or anyone else in this futile effort fire everyone.

lol.  Lorenzon bulk and Scherzer going next two games?  It is OVER!

alot of grown men going completely unhinged over a Childs game.  some of these guys you'd never know, they could be your doctor, your contractor, parents of children.  scary

lol.  No.  Well yes in some cases to the latter.  3 categories, last night was devastating for all.

1.  Unemployed for 15+ year and lots of time (myself)

2. Crypto/Nvidia bros.  They know how to shake hands, they knew not to sell the NVIDIA in 2017, they have good sense on the Crypto cycles and buy and sell just before the common buffoon does.  Their handshakes get millions in low interest loans and venture capitol.   They have millions and time to ponder on this board and do amateur stats analysis.

3.  Actual working people.  There are few of these.  They claim to have to earn an extra 30k a year so their kids can play ball.   Their dedication is extreme, but you can tell they don't have time for walls of text.  Short concise thoughts as the family sits on their phone.   Is it terrible the whole fam just sitting there on their phones ?  I don't know.  Probably no worse then all sitting their watching Mr. Belvedere in 1988, and at least they all choose something of interest.

If there was a god - I'm sure you'd be currently doing his work Olerud.  Thank you.

I think we've all seen teams come back from terrible losses, and the opposite, Inspirational wins don't lead to any momentum.   So I honestly don't think the psychological effect of last night is a big deal.

Just from a practical standpoint trying to figure out how they get through the next two days, with one 42 year old starter, and probably 13-15 bullpen innings to cover, Varland coming off a 30 pitch outing and then the next 12 days with the Cease throwing 94.5 issue.

Maybe they'll give us another moment of hope, I don't know, but like chances are Cease throwing 94.5 will burn him in one of the starts.  Louise being gassed will burn in a save situation.  Scherzer might pitch one more good game... maybe... but two?

Everyone's telling me Miles can't go 4 innings on 4 days rest because of innings limit, but where now going to try 2 innings on 2 days rest?   Just seems impossible to navigate this.

So fangraphs is basically predicting everyone will go .500, which basically means they just flipped a coin on everything and have as much clue as any of us do.

Next time they should get monkeys to throw darts at a dart board. At least it would be more interesting.

why would they project a bunch of .500 teams to do anything but play .500 ball ?

Should get a monkey to post for you, it would be more interesting, and at least a full level of magnitude more insightful.

The odds are certainly stacked against us.  But they have been for months now.  The pitching issues are all magnified because the offense is the worst in baseball.

But there in lies the beauty of baseball.  Sometimes you beat the odds.  Sometimes the best teams don't win.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes... it rains.

Think about that.

Hard to see Lorenzen, Spencer Sphaghetti and 42 year old Scherzer doing enough to get us through the next 2 games, let alone 11.

It will rain, there will be another loss or two (for sure), there will be another win (maybe), Spencer Spaghetti, 42 year old Scherzer, Lorenzen, gassed Varland, or 93.8 * mph Cease will get their socks blown off 3 times between them.  Not saying any of those won't have a good moment too.

* given trend why is it not going to be 93.8 next time?

Rocket science prediction theory

If team 75-75 predict 6-6 for next 12

If velocities 98.3, 97.5, 97.6, 96.8, 97.1, 96.3, 95.3, 95.6, 94.8, 94.3 predict 93.8 for next

Is that guys profile picture Bin Laden?  Friend of Seranthony?  Seranthony seems to like the historical figures especially the dark ones (not skin color, I mean like shady, evil)

Whatever the case I mean... he's got a great point.  This season is designed by either a deity or the simulation programmer for maximum pain.   Would be far less pain if 10 games out of the wild card, and we just got some Sean Keys bombs to entertain us.  If we got Cease, and Varland and Miles on a light workload going into next year.

It's maximum pain, which almost makes me think there be one more bright spot, like maybe we take the Wild Card spot again for 3 days, then Cease and Varland contribute to a 10-9 loss against Cininatti to eliminate us.

The best scenario right now is that this is it, no more pushing the key guys, it's over, no more pain.

The worse case scenario is another false bright spot then the absolute lowest loss of the season even worse than last night with some major injuries.

The season long numbers paint a picture of a putrid offense but I don't think I'd characterize the Blue Jays offense as worst in baseball right now. Since Bateman debuted the club is 3rd by wRC in MLB and have scored the 8th most runs in MLB and are a single run scored behind the 6th and 7th place teams. Right now this is a solid offensive group that has been scoring plenty of runs on this charge up the wild card standings, albeit one that is prone to the occasional game and/or series where the offense doesn't do enough.

Max Scherzer is our G1 playoff starter lmao

Don't worry though, we will probably play the sorry ass Astros so we should be able to dust them off even with the old man on the hill

Simply cannot expect to be a playoff team while rostering and playing guys like Spaghetti, Lorenzen, Mantiply, Straw, Scherzer, and Guerrero
