No change in the standings. Jays caught a huge break. Dropping 3 of last 4 to KC and the A's when your playoff lives are on the line is embarrassing, but thankfully the WC race is 4 bad teams trying to see which team is least worst. Jays still have a shot. They just have to suck a little bit less than the other teams.

we did it.  basically in the playoff spot by Friday

Mike Elias, Certified Genius sent many advanced scouts to the Athletics Series and gave the Athletics tips to see if they would work.

They do.  And it won't pretty on the weekend.  Only pretty I guess for Certified Genius Mike Elias and the posters at Orioles Hangout.  Someone has to win the turtle race and the Orioles it will be.  Pete Alonso will win MVP.  One of the those MVPs just because Pete is such a leader like Mo Vaughn in 1995, Or Justin Moreau in 2008 I think.

We lost the Cease game and couldn't score even one run off them in a bullpen game

But deserved or not,  here we are holding in the same position

blue jays fans are deserving of a world series

doesn't matter if we score 1 run off only errors and balks and win every game with other teaming hitting a .085 babip, this group deserves it.

If he’s healthy, bring him up. He can run into a few and maybe help us win a couple games.

Exactly what we said 1 year ago

Sigh

They did. Then he hurt himself in the playoffs again.

Hope they have his contract insured....

And that they add to the lineup with no assumption he'll contribute in 2027

Certainly possible since team's generally only insure their higher earning guys.

Vlad's? For sure it's insured. Cease? Pretty much guaranteed to be insured. they probably had Springer, Gausman and Berrios insured.

Those premiums are not cheap though.

Bone spurs in the back isn't something I've ever heard of!  Wild stuff.

Well 15 games left.  Need to only make up 1 games

indians have harder schedule.  Above 500 teams and Oakland and Kansas which are both good teams lately

just make up .07 games per day, which is nothing really.

that leaves us with .05 extra game at end of year

Not sure about Mr. Glass (Satander) but if it means we can fire Sanchez into the sun, I'm all for it.

We don’t fire players into the sun.  Sure, we may technically own them not unlike slavery.  But they are still treated fairly well and they are free to do as they wish nearly half the year (within reason, no dirt biking or skydiving etc).  This is not 1860s anymore.

We could make the playoffs if Cleveland and Texas go on a big losing streak.  We might be able to play .400 ball and make the playoffs

A dream would be to be the first sub .500 team to win the World Series.    That will be stressful.   As it means it would just be 15 days of a win, a excruciating loss, then scoreboard watching hoping the Guardians or the Texas Armadillos ** lose too.  And we can't tie the Armadillos so if we win 80 they have to win 79 or less.  We can tie the Guardians at 80.  And we split with the Orioles could tie them at 80.  Wouldn't that be crazy?

** I think the name Rangers is not good either, because Rangers were pretty violent and probably shot at Native Americans, so I think Armadillos is a better name for the Texas team.

I’d still be highly surprised if any team makes the playoffs with a .500 record.

When all is said and done IMO it will take 82/83 wins for the WC3 spot this year.
