This would be an incredible pitching matchup if the Jays weren't playing trash baseball.

Masterful pitching means nothing if your offense is nonexistent.

You don’t say.

Heading to the game today, got tix in the new Rogers Terrace (old TD comfort zone) in 200L behind homeplate. $200/tix but includes unlimited food and non alcoholic drinks. Can't wait to check it out. Probably won't be this cheap again. 6 game losing streak combined with afternoon mid week game. These are going for $500+ for weekend games.

Great price if you intentionally don't eat for 48 hours and then try to consume 4000 calories during the game

That's why I'm getting there as soon as the gates open. I'm gonna eat $200 worth of crab legs and Lobster.

Varsho in the 2 hole, use your speed kid

He should just bunt for a base hit every time

That is awesome.  Enjoy.

I sat there when it was the TD Comfort Zone and I think it's the best seat in the house.  Own waitress/waiter, more leg room, fewer seats per road, 200 level isn't as busy for food/washrooms, padded seats and a great view.

Are we allowed to say our lineup has too many AAA players?

zero is too many?

Can I level with everyone? We’re all friends here, right?

I desperately need a Jays W today.

I’ve been doubling down every game during this 6-game losing streak, so I’m now in for 32 units on today’s game. Had to dip into my kid’s college fund for this one, so there’s no shot I can chase with 64 tomorrow.

So yeah… today is pretty much do or die. If they lose, I genuinely don’t know how I’m paying my mortgage.

On top of it, I’m irritable, my work performance is tanking and I even yelled at my dog this morning. My DOG.

At this rate I’m getting fired, my wife is leaving me, and I’ll be explaining to my kid why he’s going to community college because the team can't get a hit with the bases loaded.

So please, for the love of god, I am begging you...just win today.

Worth monitoring - Nathan Lukes' ISO and BB% collapsed in the ALCS and WS last year, and the trend has continued into this year.

He is not taking his walks and not hitting the ball well.

His Zone rate sits at 43% which is 10 points lower than it was last season. Unsurprisingly, his O-Swing% has skyrocketed, from 31% to 48%. It hasn't led to a huge jump in K rate because he makes contact often, in fact his O-Contact% has also gone up, but this leads directly to making worse contact.

Swinging at bad pitches and making contact -> less walks, more weak contact. He needs to cut down on the chase and force pitchers to give him hittable pitches.

Well, if all else fails, you have good source material for starting a career as a country music singer.

The team is too aggressive.

#3 in MLB in o-swing% and #2 in overall swing%

Yes, #3 in contact%... but 26th/30 in barrel rate

Basically relying on the BABIP gods and it hasn't been working so far (.264, rank 22)

Last year the team was #1 in contact but not this aggressive, and middle of the pack in barrel rate

Is this aggressiveness at Popkin's direction?
