I have never thought the Jays would win any of the big FA ordeals we have been involved in, going back years to the Japanese pitcher ICR to the more recent, Ohtani, Yamamoto, Soto and Saski.

This time however, my instinct for the first time says the Jays could/should win this one. If we can’t win this one, we might as well change strategy and spend money on 2 lesser players etc since waiting so long and allocating the $$ time after time leaves us without all the Lazy boys when the music stops.

You mean Darvish.  I remember some twat sports reporter in Virginia or someplace posting that we got him.

Yup, that was it. Then I think Jeff Passan (ICR) broke that he was going to Texas and we were all blue balled.

I really hope Tucker doesn’t choose the Mets now lol

A burner account on Twitter that correctly predicted the Soto deal a day and a half early is saying Tucker to the Mets. Just feels like too much smoke for this not to happen.

If Mets offer Tucker 5 / 250 thats nuts. Full mode desperation move too.

Can't be mad if tucker isnt a jay with that offer on the table

I believe this.  I dont think Cohen would be that dumb/cocky to make such a post when he knows the baseball world and especially his own fanbase is dying for something positive after a dreadful offseason so far.

Second highest payroll in the majors last year and couldn't even clinch a wildcard berth. That failure isn't because of one missing piece, it's completely systemic. A competent front office would've realized that by now.

I think things are way to noisy on the Blue Jays front and dead silent on the Dodger front. Which makes me think he will be a Dodger come Friday.

Yup I knew it. Dodgers don't let things leak. I knew when all the talk was Mets and Blue Jays. It was the Dodgers in the background the whole time.

f*** me!! This is a kick in the nuts, the most to me out of all of them. I thought he wanted to stay in Florida near Tampa for ST etc.

I don’t think Bo is coming back and now not looking so good..

Jays should sign Valdez.  Ponce a swing man.

Or maybe they just move Berrios to get under the highest tax threshold, and run with what they've got.
