I think the failure to score the winning run in the 9th was even bigger.

Yes for sure. Felt like they were losing after the 9th there.

Maybe. It was pretty obvious they were setting up the DP. Idk if we could avoid that though.

Would have just lined into it if we sent Barger

They lost in the most devastating fashion possible. So many chances to score with runners in scoring position and they couldn't cash in. Also, f*** Jeff Hoffman. A hanging slider to f***ing Miguel Rojas?

That was hard to swallow. Absolutely gutted right now.

Lol what

No we're not. This was our only shot in 32 years

Honestly that’s what so devastating about this. There is absolutely no gurantee they get here again in the next couple years.

i am beyond shattered right now

There is plenty of blame to go around and I'm sure it will be discussed all off season.

What really hurts is the realization that it is so hard to get here.  So many things have to go your way as a team.  This team had some over achievers this year and the chances they can reproduce the same results next year is a big question mark right now.

Have a good night all and don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour.

ps.  how many weeks until pitchers and catchers report?

We will be lucky to come back in the next 20 years.  The mariners will go 100 years and never even see the World Series.

Any tips on dealing with this? I ain't really a leafs fan so I've never been this devastated before. I might actually need to go to therapy.

I'd probably take a break from social media for a while. That's the only advice I could give.

Thisn wasn't luck.

Yamamoto probably had the best series of any pitcher ever.

Maybe any player ever.

If you play a series and you lose two one run games and a two run games where ALL of them needed one ball to land two feet shorter or longer for us to win, and you win none of them, then luck absolutely plays a part .

Good question.  Spend time with family or friends?  Pick up a hobby?
