  1. Hoffman lost this game when he fell behind Rojas. I can't kill him on pitch but getting into that troubled spot was atrocious. BTW The Santander injury really hurt us in end. Having another quality bat and switch hitter could have been the difference.
  2. How could all those mlb executives be this wrong? 21 of 22 surveyed picked the dodgers convincingly. I guess there was league wide skepticism about the jays starters and bullpen. And perhaps the dodgers starters were overrated, going against a deep lineup like this.
  3. We were patiently waiting for Nate Pearson and Ricky Tiedemann all those years & BAM! this Pennsylvania kid just explodes on the scene from A ball. He has a superior mental makeup and unique pitches.
  4. Jays are basically pulling a Texas Rangers 'from worst to world champs.' I never knew MLB could be so volatile from one year to the next,
  5. I believe he was a successful reliever in college. Go figure.
  6. This is surreal. This year was supposed to be an also ran in the Al East. Now they are 1 game away from the crown. No one saw Barger and Clement contributing like this. The Varsho trade isn't looking too shabby either. Yesavage is just dominant with that vertical overhand delivery with 2 plus pitches.
  7. Jeff Hoffman would probably be a high leverage 7th inning guy on another team. He doesn't have enough command to close.
  8. The gas can survives. Praise Jeff Hoffman.,.....for now.
  9. Our hitting coach popkins should get the key to the city.
  10. The yankees should probably inquire about kwan in the offseason and let Grisham leave. But their analytics department probably devalues Kwan. LOL
  11. Haven't seen Hoffman in a high leverage situation with the jays in the playoffs. Remember he melted down against the mets last postseason. We know how enigmatic he is,
  12. Is all this noise about Schlittler tipping his pitches just a coping mechanism by the yankees? Or is there truth behind this claim?
  13. Tough loss. Bieber's lack of velocity up in the zone wasn't going to get the yankees key hitters. Varland doesn't have much deception or movement on that fastball. Defense gave them extra outs. I may go to game 4.
