I despise the *I told you so* year after year, guess what? 1 team wins.

And the Birds have been in it for 4 of 5 years, U SUCK!!!

Didn't you just play the I told you so card?

And we have different definitions of what "in it" means.

Cheers.

Oh there's a lot of things you can't grasp, but I'm not going to be vitriolic about it.

I do hope you are managing to enjoy yourself and not dragging yourself down here.

I'm as happy as the Sun shines, apparently, you can't help yourself gobbler.

lol... case in point captain hindsight with nothing but vitriol towards our club.

Did you not say we should clean house in late April and May? And were destroyed for the next decade? I recall it.

Yes I already addressed that above.

Are we done or are you going to keep this going?

Verbal diarrhea, is all I read. So many years of it, too.

Yes and I still believe for the long term we would have been better off doing so including trading Guerrero. I guess we'll get those answers in the coming years.

But I've also said that I would gladly trade one championship for 10 years of misery so if we get that championship I lay down my arms.

I honestly don't see a path forward where the Blue Jays would be better off having traded Vlad for a mediocre return earlier in the season vs a long term extension. I think the entire organizational outlook has taken a seismic step forward this season with the major league team being on the verge of the ALCS and the minor leagues system taking a giant step as well. I see bright times ahead with the caveat of a very important off-season just around the corner.

If Vlad performs in the Post Season it more than justifies the contract for me. I don't think anyone will ever be able to not be stunned by the kind of deal he got. But if he gets it done when he needs to get it done nobody will care how much he is making. It seemed like during the regular Season those moments he was hitting into groundball double plays maybe he would get a Sac Fly in that situation. But against the Yankees he takes his game to another level and right now that's all that matters.

If nothing else his contract commands a lot of respect around the league. Blue Jays have set a president that they will pay their stars. We know they are in a lot of big contract negotiations every off-season. A lot of times falling short but the Jays are always there with money and a finalist. I think his deal has long term ramifications that we haven't even benefitted from yet. It also helps that everyone who signs here is raving about it. Even watching random Baseball podcasts from guys that played here for a bit all say great things. It all bolds well for the future.

Well nobody should speculate on what we would have received had we traded Vlad in terms of a return.

It's very hard to really understand the enormous domino effect of a 15-year half a billion dollar contract until many years down the road.

In the intermediate term, we have the Bo free agency, we have gaps in our rotation with Gausman locked up for only one more year and Berrios locked up for too many. Bieber is either gone or may cost a pretty penny to keep. Only 1 more year of Springer and who knows how much longer he can do this anyhow. A big money decision needs to be made on Varsho soon. We can talk all we want about the minor leagues but we don't know until they're here. Yesavage looks like a piece for sure. Barger too, maybe even Schneider, but we need to see it for more than just a part of a season from them to know if they're really part of a core.

I just think there's still a lot of gaps and it'll be very expensive to fill because as of right now we don't know if we really have enough young players to fill it. Too many questions marks.

Let's hope Bieber has the outing he is capable of tomorrow.

I'm pretty nervous. Losing one and then heading into a bullpen game isn't something I look forward to.

Yanks have a rookie going on Wednesday if there is a game 4.  Should be easy work.

A lot of Yankees fans had the same kind of thoughts before game 2.

Yea but we know Schitler.  Red Sox lineup is especially trash.  Jays can handle him.  He didn't magically become an ace overnight like Trey did and is.

I think the narrative in the US media about tomorrow's game has been very disrespectful to Bieber.

Everyone is talking about how the Yankees have the pitching edge.

I get that Bieber is coming off an injury, maybe he doesn't look like 100% of his old self just yet, maybe his stuff plays a little bit more into the Yankees strength than our first two starters, but Rodon has done what exactly?

Now that we are making the alcs 85% of the time, can we speculate more on if Bo is coming back or are we just forgetting about that guy completely?

Im inclined to just say f*** it, no way he’s ready in time and ready to face major league pitching. Look how Santander was his first week back… and that was being able to rehab in AAA for a few games which Bo can’t do. Plus Bo at DH leaves us with way less flexibility and Springer would need to play OF

People trying to map out this kid's career after four starts.

Let's see what happens after the league gets a look at him. I'm sure he still has adjustments of his own to make.

He destroyed New York, shoved pretty hard against Tampa, but Kansas City didn't seem too impressed by him and he did fall behind in the count often yesterday, something he probably needs to continue to work on.

Let's enjoy the moment, let's hope this ride continues and let's just see what happens.

Hopefully at least we can continue to use the element of surprise with him against two more teams this postseason🤞🏻

Yeah like Yesavage flat out dominated on Sunday against the Yankees, but some posters already deeming him an ace type pitch only after 4 starts is kind of premature.

Did Marcus Stroman or Aaron Sanchez turn out to be aces? Didn't they both have some dominating starts/appearances in the Postseason?

Wow everyone's gone unhinged.

How the f*** is it poor behavior to temper expectations? People have flipped their lid.

Sometimes I think I'm on Reddit.

A lot of these fans forgot what it was like to win Postseason games. Can't fault them for the premature excitement.

It's not a mortal sin to say that the Yankees are more talented team.

I understand the Yankees hate and I share it, but people go too far with their Yankees hate to the point where they don't give them nearly enough credit.

Red Sox too, we have certain people on here (I won't name names but if you know, you know) who can watch the Red Sox win 3 titles in a row and still think they are a s*** organization.

Does Grant even acknowledge the Red Sox exist?
