Very excited for tonight's game that will decide our opponent on Sunday. Also exciting to know regardless of who it is will have to fly across the country to play in Toronto on Sunday. I never expected this series to go all 5 games. But now Detroit has a chance to steal it with Skubal on the mound.

Lets Go Tigers!

Okay, I guess I'm in the "hope the Tigers win" camp.  John Schneider won't be able to out manage AJ Hinch as well as he did with Aaron Boone.

On another note, it is interesting how on the Yankees boards they are talking about how Boone doesn't actually make the decisions in game but that it comes from Cashman and the Operations group.  Very similar to the talk around John Schneider during the Jays playoffs debacles.  What comes around goes around.

Most organizations work like this now. In real time John Schneider is probably pushing the buttons. But they have all these scenarios and matchups planned out well in advanced. The Bullpen game was definitely constructed by Pete Walker and the other pitching coaches with insights from the front office. You don't really know how everything is going to play out on the field. But they know what pitcher they wanted to face what hitters and what spots and portions of the game.

No they don't.  This is a myth promulgated by losing teams when things don't work out (jays included).  The front office provides the managers with information and it is up to the manager in the dugout to deploy as he sees fit.  The skipper has his hand on the tiller.  You think John Schneider  was told by the khakis to bring in Seranthony D in the third inning?  That was all Schneider and Walker.

Go Tigers!

Sucks that all ALCS away games are Wednesday/Thursday and Friday. Wish they played on a weekend in Detroit.

Did something happen to Safeco?

Living in Toronto, would rather Detroit make it through so it's easier to see a potential road ALCS game. Doesn't matter anyways since all ALCS away games are during the week and can't make it.

If it's Toronto vs. Seattle still will be a great series. Tougher and more expensive to fly out to Seattle from Toronto. Plus, tickets and hotels would be more expensive out in Seattle versus in Detroit or Windsor.

Studies show that teams traveling from West to East perform worse than teams traveling East to West.

If the Mariners skate by the Tigers that could give us a slight nudge.

Normally I’d say mariners and dodgers because I wanna knock ohtani out.

If Bo comes back though he’s got the knee issue so I’d rather tigers then cubs.

Don’t need Bo getting a case a jet leg flying back and forth across the continent.

Plane crashes are very rare.  They are even safer than driving on the highway.

Oh my bad I thought you were insinuating that a plane might crash, I thought it was kinda messed up but fans are desperate so I was rolling with it.  I didn’t know

Weirdo…

No flying to the North West is fatiguing. Especially when you have to fly back directly back East after a game. It’s a minor factor but not an insignificant one. Best case scenario is this a deep extra inning game. Skubal if the Tigers win won’t be available until Game 3 unless he pitches on short rest,

Well Derek Jeter directly insinuated on the air that Boone is not calling the moves that they make.

Josh Naylor is a beauty. 2nd slowest sprint speed in baseball and just stole 3rd and scored on a sac fly.
