I used to feel the same way at first, but then you'd get grey areas and judgment calls. Now I think we should aim to have calls as black and white as possible and whether you have contact with the bag is black and white.

IMO no, That opens a bigger can of worms. It's just part of the risk of very aggressive baserunning. They've made the bases bigger which helps
