Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 Another lovely Saturday evening in... *checks notes*. Oh, Sacramento. Gross.
Nexii Verified Member Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 Moneyline has Jays at -144, Athletics +119. Might be a tough game. Lopez is having a decent season, and Oakland can hit as we saw last night
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 Jays almost ended Lopez's SP career earlier this year
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 Lopez has a pretty crazy stat line. 11.37 K/9, 3.38 BB/9, and only a 22% groundball rate. He has a terrible fastball that sits at 90 mph but a good slider and changeup. Very low release point. I trust that Popkins will come up with a good game plan to once again destroy this soft tossing turd. His gimmicks don't work against us. GoBlue41, jaysblue, BatFlip and 1 other 4
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 Yankees and Tigers already lost And Tampa and Boston play each other Let's win and make it a great day

They are now Terminator 1

They are now Wow that’s actually super interesting and can somewhat explain the difference in offense at home vs road. ”BOSTON — Recently, Toronto Blue Jayshitting coach David Popkins met John Schneider in his office and told the manager their team needed to start travelling with an iPitch machine. Similar to Trajekt — a Canadian-developed robotic pitching system that can replicate the arsenal of every MLB pitcher with precise speed, spin, break, and release point, shooting balls out from behind a large screen projecting their delivery — an iPitch can simulate pitches of various velocities and actions to help hitters prepare for any given day’s matchup.” So it seems like they have that more advanced machine at home and it seems to be working Terminator 1

I cant imagine they didn't have one in years past either as its not exactly new tech, but not taking a smaller version on the road? Seems like a pretty obvious thing you'd wanna take. Maybe we give some of these guys a bit too much credit on the common sense side of things
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Has this version of Barger not earned a longer rope to determine whether he can or cannot hit against lefties, considering he's only been at this level for a few months? Wouldn't it make sense to get these reps now so we can determine come playoff time whether he should sit or not? To me, its an easy decision when the alternative is giving Jimenez ABs. Barger has also been great defensively so its not like you're not getting anything from him in the worst case. G-Snarls 1
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 ^absolutely, he's an everyday player IMO Jays24 1
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Gonna take a pre game nap to prepare for this one
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 how come we don't get the line-ups posted anymore?
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Let's goooooo lock up this series please
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Red Sox are on fire but at least it's at the Rays expense now G-Snarls 1

I would've penciled him instead of Jimenez but he's almost guaranteed to get an AB today if it's close.
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 AL east is a true dog fight. If the post season were today, except for Baltimore, every team of the AL east would go to playoff games.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 There's a little Dick Mountain in Lopez
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 f*** me... im gonna hear it for the Barger over Jimenez comment arent I lol hanton 1
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Gausman would be so much better if he had a second kind of fastball. I wonder why he hasn't picked up a two seamer like Bassitt throws.

I will go back to shutting up lol. Terminator 1

Also I suspect he doesn't have the command for it (two seam) vs four seam.

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Great approach there by Bo, cut his swing down and put the ball in play
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Maybe Bo should have been given $500M
