Moneyline has Jays at -144, Athletics +119.

Might be a tough game. Lopez is having a decent season, and Oakland can hit as we saw last night

Lopez has a pretty crazy stat line.

11.37 K/9, 3.38 BB/9, and only a 22% groundball rate.

He has a terrible fastball that sits at 90 mph but a good slider and changeup. Very low release point.

I trust that Popkins will come up with a good game plan to once again destroy this soft tossing turd. His gimmicks don't work against us.

Yankees and Tigers already lost

And Tampa and Boston play each other

Wow that’s actually super interesting and can somewhat explain the difference in offense at home vs road.

”BOSTON — Recently, Toronto Blue Jayshitting coach David Popkins met John Schneider in his office and told the manager their team needed to start travelling with an iPitch machine.

Similar to Trajekt — a Canadian-developed robotic pitching system that can replicate the arsenal of every MLB pitcher with precise speed, spin, break, and release point, shooting balls out from behind a large screen projecting their delivery — an iPitch can simulate pitches of various velocities and actions to help hitters prepare for any given day’s matchup.”

So it seems like they have that more advanced machine at home and it seems to be working

Yeah. I cant imagine they didn't have one in years past either as its not exactly new tech, but not taking a smaller version on the road?  Seems like a pretty obvious thing you'd wanna take.

Maybe we give some of these guys a bit too much credit on the common sense side of things

Has this version of Barger not earned a longer rope to determine whether he can or cannot hit against lefties, considering he's only been at this level for a few months?  Wouldn't it make sense to get these reps now so we can determine come playoff time whether he should sit or not?

To me, its an easy decision when the alternative is giving Jimenez ABs.  Barger has also been great defensively so its not like you're not getting anything from him in the worst case.

I would've penciled him instead of Jimenez but he's almost guaranteed to get an AB today if it's close.

Gausman would be so much better if he had a second kind of fastball. I wonder why he hasn't picked up a two seamer like Bassitt throws.

Haha I've been sitting back and enjoying the winning streak but sitting Clement/Springer/Kirk to end the winning streak got me brave.   I will go back to shutting up lol.

I think it is because he relies on spin for his four seam and he would likely lose some of that with the two seam.  Also I suspect he doesn't have the command for it (two seam) vs four seam.

Maybe Bo should have been given $500M

Great career for us so far, but his athletic decline worries me
