Flags and anthems should be kept out of sports.  They are an anachronism left over from WW2.  Now they just serve to glorify the military industrial complex. But that is for another thread.

Oh I agree 100 percent. I don’t understand why they even play anthems before sporting events. It just opens up unnecessary confrontation.

We all know why this is accustom in North America.  I do wish Canada would end this tradition where possible.

Goddammit Bo

Not good!  But I am OK with him taking some extra time off to get as close to 100% as possible.  It can't be much longer, or the Jays ought to have put him on the IL.

Hoping he gets hot in the 2nd half - we sure could use it.  But at this rate, he might be looking at a pillow deal this offseason...

Not sure the Brewers would move Peralta. They are still contending.

I think Sandy Alcantara would be a good fit. He had a good June with a 3.47 FIP. He's also got a team friendly contract through 2027.

And he's never really been a huge K/9 guy so I think he would benefit from our elite framing and defense more than most frontline guys. The Marlins are slightly below average with both.

I like Edward Cabrera as a Marlins target.

If the Jays could somehow land an elite SP before the trade deadline, look out! If the price is too high and if options are limited, just stock up on high K% bullpen arms because they're going to need them if their starters only go 4-5 innings in a short series.

Schneider in a playoff series is going to be sweating and twitching by the 4th inning to make a pitching change. The Jays need to add a high leverage reliever on top of anything else they add.

With the 2026 rotation being two dudes right now (Gaus-Berrios), I think the Jays will trade for a SP with some control. Probably will have to say goodbye to a couple of the pitching prospects who have popped up this season, but pitching prospects break your heart. Just have to choose the right ones to keep.

Personally looking forward to:

  • The Canada Blue Jays sweeping the America Yankees during the Canada Day series;
  • The fans of the Canada Blue Jays booing anything and everything to do with America during the 4th of July game
  • The Canada Blue Jays being the heel/villain for the remainder of the MLB season but winning the World Series anyway and then not getting invited to the White House

Expert level trolling right here kids. Take notes

I just realized the Jays are hosting the Angels on the 4th of July. We have to pray our fans don’t do the dumbest thing by any booing on their Independence Day. Its also an Apple TV game. These are moments people won’t forgive or forget,

good point

Casuals are the ones who fill up Roger center, without them they may get 500 people

Bassitt still looks… sick? Like something is up with him

Yeah, he's on pace for maybe 4 innings. This pen is gonna get abused again tonight

he seems to become that way after a mistake, hopefully offensive will score some runs to help him relax

His facial expressions the last few starts haven’t been good. Going back to that whitesox start where he told JS he was done after 6 innings
