Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 It might be best if we don't have GDT's moving forward. Save people's sanity. Orgfiller and jaysblue 2
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Gonna get swept by the Angels and then head over to Seattle to get ass-blasted
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 I remember fondly the days (5 days ago) when we were talking about how the only enjoyable part of watching this team was Garcia and Hoffman locking s*** down in the late innings. Of course even that small joy has been taken from us. RotatorCuff, Omar, Terminator and 3 others 1 3 2

glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 It’s going to suck when one or more of the final playoff spots will be going to Central teams with 86 wins again who got there exclusively by beating up the White Sox. Meanwhile the 91 win Jays team in 2021 sat at home because they were the 4th best team in their own division. The AL is so wide open but this team won’t be taking advantage (again). Stangstag 1
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 2021 was such a missed opportunity. f*** the Yankees, and the Redsox, and the Rays, and the Nationals.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 I honestly think Bassitt is going to manhandle the s***** Angel's offence. As long as Bassitt can go 7 + and they have a lead (that's the hard part) then I think the Jays should be able to salvage one game. Even though the Angels have won the last two, that is NOT a good offence!

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 If I recall, wasn't Montoyo fired right after a west Coast series in Seattle? Stangstag 1

The last 4 games definitely feels like something we’ll look back on at the end of the year as a reason we missed the postseason G-Snarls 1

I think it's just the baseball gods evening things out. Those loses are more likely to be the difference between the 5th overall pick and the 10th overall pick. Stangstag and jaysblue 1 1
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Jays are favourites tonight on Bet365 haha.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Considering how much the Jays have sucked this season, they're still ONLY 4.5 GB of the Yankees in the AL East. Obviously they need to turn things around quickly. Vladdy and Bo gotta start hitting the ball with more authority, Santander needs to go on a tear, and need the starters to go deep so the Jays don't overtax the pen. Stangstag and Terminator 1 1

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 real talk the AL East blows The Yankees have some elite players but also some desperate plays like Bellinger (sucks) and Goldschimdt (working out so far but he's so old) and a thin rotation + the Williams disaster The Red Sox are frankly a weird team this year, trying to bridge competing with building for the long term, and they have some weak roster components The Rays are not good right now, just one of those down years for a cheap team probably The Orioles having a nightmare season = the reason I still don't 100% hate baseball none of these teams are that scary. Toronto could roll into New York and Boston later this year and sweep and make up a bunch of ground. we just need every single player on the roster to get better immediately. easy Stangstag and Terminator 2

This has consistently been a problem for the last few seasons. Starting rotation has remained pretty solid but everyone else blows.

Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Bassitt will likely at least give them a chance to win, for whatever that's worth.
