You're seeing that there is still a place for advanced scouting in this stat-driven era. The Mariners know absolutely nothing about Addison Barger.

You think they would have learned after the second time but nope.

Apparently they don't have eyeballs with working brains attached.

It's a really stark example of a bad coaching staff not communicating these things to their players. Raleigh and Tellez are extremely slow. They wouldn't be doing this if they were told he had a borderline elite arm.

Just need that 1 big hit man... so many wasted opportunities but what else is new.  Can we see if J.D. Martinez is still looking for a squad? Lol

Batting Barger sixth is still hard for me to understand.

We're three weeks into the season.  It's okay to try things like Gimenez batting cleanup, giving Roden and Wagner a long look, etc.  Plenty of time to change things up as the season progresses.  Give them a chance to experiment/evaluate.

Gimenez 4th and Barger 6th on a team with World series aspirations... Thank God for the elite pitching and defense at least lol

That's ********.  Over 162, you put a much inferior hitter in front of a more superior hitter it costs you runs.  Springer provides protection for Santander.  Games can end with Giminez as the final out.   It makes zero f***ing sense to have Giminez hit ahead of Springer.  Someone make an argument that Giminez is a better hitter than Springer.  Giminez shouldn't be hitting 5th either.  He's an 8 or 9 hitter.

Breathe man, lol.

Varsho will be back in May then you bitch about him batting 4th.

Well duhhh... he's a number 7 hitter on a really good team lol.

Although I liked what I saw from him in the Spring so maybe he does better this year?

I'm not at all a fan of Fluharty here with a 2 run lead and a rested bullpen. Completely idiotic decision.

I remember Simon pond and Kevin Barker having great spring trainings.....

Little, Green, Garcia, Sandlin, Hoffman. Even Yariel.

Everyone fully rested. Two run lead at home. Three innings left.

Why, why, why aren't we using them??
