If our AL East rivals want to cheese out their ballparks we might as well up the ante

In addition to the retractable dome, we should have retractable fences that come in or out depending whether or not the Jays are at bat or in the field

It's only fair

Great idea.  Retractable mounds too.

Funny enough, but this used to happen back at the onset of baseball history.  Several ball parks didn't have an outfield fence and the fans would hold a rope (I think) to mark the limits of the field and of course when the home team was up, they'd move the fence in a bit, which of course became known as the "home field advantage".

  • Yankees: little league dimensions in right field
  • Red Sox: I'll allow the Green Monster since it's unique but pesky pole is even more little league
  • Rays: Yankee Stadium dimensions and it's always 90 degrees or hotter with high humidity
  • Orioles: they move their left field fence in or out depending on how many right handed bats they have in the lineup in any given year

We need a total and complete shutdown of our AL East rivals' park dimensions until we can figure out what the hell is going on

I almost forgot that the Rays have two stadiums.

The one mentioned above is only being used because the roof flew off of the other one.

So yeah, our AL East Rivals are all trash.

Don’t give Jon Fisher any cost-cutting ideas

Massive, massive break for the Jays that they couldn't land him.

Yikes just saw as well! Huge break for the Jays!

At least Scherzer is just a one-year deal at the end of the day.

Remind us who that was again?

Catcher - wanted Carson Kelly until he was signed and then wanted to stick with Heineman = double correct

Jack Flaherty

Austin Hays (139 wRC+)

Pete Alonso

Although in full disclosure I also had Corbin Burnes in a Blue Jays uniform as my avatar on here so I'm partially full of s***

Yeah I was generally on board with all those options myself. Kelly has been unreal this year.

Braves just fell to a season-worst 10 games under 0.500. They've looked like a stale, lifeless mess all season

Don't let some people on here, hear you say that. *shifty eyes*

Amazing news.

Should add 1 WAR to all Alejandro Kirk projections

As one of the best framers in the league he also could lose some value as he may not steal as many strikes.

I honestly think that pitch framing will still be a skill with measurable impact post ABS if there's only two allowed challenges per game. The impact of the most impactful frames will likely go down, but it'll go both ways as catchers like Kirk with great strikezone awareness can overturn 50/50 calls in key spots.

Those mirror my thoughts as well. I suspect teams will eventually be pretty cautious with who they even allow to make in game challenges, and that only the most egregious of calls will largely be challenged in order not to waste the limited challenges. With Kirk also being very astute at challenging strike calls when at the dish I don't think his overall value would take much of a dip with a challenge system in place.
