If they get swept maybe Soto sours on the Yankees some and signs in Toronto.

Let's Go Jays 2025!

I think its more likely he signs with the Mets. I can see Cohen wanting to flex his wallet

Do we want Alonso if they do?

Yankees are f***ing up the cherry on top of an excellent and exciting postseason.

What a ride its been since the start… Yankees are going down without even landing a punch. Looking bleak.

Game 1 was an all timer, but this would be really disappointing if it ends in 4 or 5. It's a bullpen game tomorrow for the Dodgers, and then if the Yankees can survive that then it's Cole in Game 5, so maybe there's an outside chance of this at least going 6, but I'd be shocked at this point if it doesn't end by Wednesday. Sucks.

Blah. No drama at all.

Yup. I was kind of hyped going into the WS. Thought it would be a good matchup. Now I just want it to be over.

Barker and Morosi (or Sampson I can't remember) both feel Alonso looked cooked even though he hit some bombs. They felt he couldn't get around on heat in and felt his bat looked slow. Both do not like the idea of giving him a long deal. Moreover his position doesn't help as both feel Vlad isn't good at third - okay for a now and then spot. They also both don't like Bregman. Both say the Jays need three aircraft carriers in the line-up - they have only one.

They also need way more swing-and-miss from the pen and an elite closer - they don't have any of this. How can Ross land two massive bats AND an elite closer AND two upper tier arms in one offseason? I mean I suppose the good news if you are a "win it now" Jays fan is that Shapiro and Atkins has to "win it now" to keep their jobs. So maybe they will go in for Soto or make a some sort of Pat Gillick trade sending Vladdy and Bo (McGriff and Fernandez) for (Power bat, Hall of fame second baseman). Bwahahahaha - nice to dream. These two aren't Pat Gillick.

I'd only go for Alonso on a real small one time show me contract. Otherwise, no thank you.

Yeah. Wanted an exciting back and forth series ideally. Barring that now might as well see a Dodgers sweep...

MLB getting their dream matchup and it not being close is classic

Lol yeah didn’t think of it that way.

Been one of the worst WS since 2014 when Detroit got swept by SF.

Last year kinda sucked too I guess.

I bet the ticket prices for tonight’s game are under $100 right now

I am enjoying this World Series immensely, I dunno what you guys are taking about

Proud Canadian Freddie Freeman is going to be MVP and the goddamn Yankees are getting embarrassed.

Playoffs couldn't have gone any better

-D-Bags and Rangers miss out

-Orioles and Braves fail to win a playoff game

-Royals out

-Yankees getting completely de-pantsed

I'm sorry - but we were given a gift in Game 1. One of the best World Series games of all-time. There's absolutely no way this WS can be consider a disappointment - even if it's a 4 game sweep.

I've heard baseball talked about more in the last week than I have in many years, whether it be in the national media or from the guys at the gym, at work, etc. Even if this ends up being a sweep, it was no where near the worst WS. Manfred still got what he wanted, just not the long series that everyone expected it to be. I'd take this over last year's snooze fest any day of the week. Hopefully the Yankees can at least extend this to go back to LA. I'm looking forward to Jays transactions but give me some good baseball for a few more days. Edited by glory

So free agency starts the day after the World Series ends, but there is a 5 day waiting period on signing with new teams.

I hope Ross has his $600 million dollar Soto offer ready. You want to get it to him as soon as possible while he's got that sour taste in his mouth over the fans trying to tar and feather Judge over a few bad games in the playoffs.

I think in totality, if there is a sweep it can certainly be considered a disappointment. Freeman is the only star showing up from either team. There's not even a secondary player making that big of a difference and no "who the f*** is that?" pulling a Pat Borders. Right now, all the story lines aside from Freeman are "where the hell is everyone?"

That said, the Yankees are getting s*** on so that's all I really need to enjoy it. It really is the simple things in life.

I don't know about that man. Kike is cementing himself as a playoff legend for the Dodgers - what a turnaround this year. Yamamoto was lights out too. But yes, I guess some of what you're saying is true.

I just finished watching The Comeback on Netflix. Really incredible documentary. It would be unreal to see the Yanks do that in the World Series.....especially when the last 9 teams to go up 3-0 in the WS have won it in 4...

Fair enough, I definitely don’t want tge Yanks to win but I would have preferred a tight/back and forth series.

Game 1 was amazing

Game 2 was decent as well. Yanks loaded the bases in the 9th and had a 27% win prob after the Rizzo HBP.

Game 3 was boring. It was like Game 2 but with no excitement at the end.

I wouldn't mind this going 6 games so there is some drama.

Book a VIP booth or room at the Brass Rail and show Juan Soto a good time in Toronto!
