jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 My picks: Tigers Royals Padres Phillies
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Right side is stacked. Those are some sweet series. Left side is pretty crusty. Nobody wants a KC/DET ALCS lmao.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Tigers in 4 - another festivus miracle. Yankees in 3 - Bats are far better, pitching might steal one, hope I'm wrong but can't see it. Padres in 5 - can't wait for this battle of likely WS winners, Padres get the edge in pitching. Phillies in 4 - Mets magic is over.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 I cant really think of a team i can pick above the rest in the NL that i would prefer to win over the other.... I feel like The Dodgers winning would be best for MLB as a whole as far as marketing and whatnot, but... if the Padres beat them, or even if the D's win the DS and lose the NLCS to either the Mets or Phillies, i wouldn't be upset. As for the AL.... Gimme the Yankees and Detroit. Chronic low spending clubs like Cleveland and KC are s*** for the game. I know Detroit is low this year, but they have shown in the past they aren't some perennial penny-pinching shithole that just takes money from other teams and puts it in the owners pocket. So... Detroit, NY, Mets and Dodgers. I think that's the best 4 for marketing purposes.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Musgrove out now and needs TJs WOW
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Musgrove out now and needs TJs WOW NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Say what you want about the Yankees, but from an entertainment standpoint, I'd much rather see Judge and Soto in the World Series than any of the Central teams. The NL side is great. Division rivals with fans that despise each other. Should be fun.

Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Indians Royals Phillies Dodgers
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Yeah from an entertainment standpoint, seeing the Yankees versus either the Dodgers or the Phillies in the World Series would be fun!
Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Yeah from an entertainment standpoint, seeing the Yankees versus either the Dodgers or the Phillies in the World Series would be fun! f***. That. I would be happy to never see either one of those teams make the playoffs ever again. Well the Phillies are okay.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 f***. That. I would be happy to never see either one of those teams make the playoffs ever again. It would be cool to see Judge/Soto versus Ohtani/Betts/Freeman or Harper/Turner/Schwarber in the World Series.
Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 It would be cool to see Judge/Soto versus Ohtani/Betts/Freeman or Harper/Turner/Schwarber in the World Series. My hatred of the Dodgers and Yankees would overwhelm my love of baseball. It might be the one world series matchup I will never watch. I never watched any of the Yankees and Red Sox series' that everybody raved about. Including the Red Sox comeback. Yankees/Red Sox and Dodgers/Yankees might be the only baseball matchups I refuse to watch. As much as I love baseball, I think they would physically make me ill. I would be unable to feel any joy or excitement watching.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2024 Author Posted October 4, 2024 Musgrove out now and needs TJs WOW Whaaaaaatttt
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Musgrove out now and needs TJs WOW I wasn't able to see the start of that game. Did Musgrove come out early hurt? Was there any indication that something was wrong?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 I wasn't able to see the start of that game. Did Musgrove come out early hurt? Was there any indication that something was wrong? Yep he left early (mid-inning) due to injury
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 Somehow the Mets and Phillies have never played each other in the post season until now
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 Aaron Judge vs Michael Wacha 1-18 with 11K
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 So the Tigers are just using Skubal and then a bunch of bullpen games? Hopefully Cleveland puts a quick end to this stupid s***.
