I don’t read anything on Fangraphs and only use it for player pages or roster resource sort of thing so I didn’t realize they were still releasing them

Which is dumb. They aren’t even going to finish the top prospect lists in time to release a mid season top 100

I like how Yimi decided to f*** around and bust out an elite changeup to Stowers out of nowhere. "f*** me in particular I guess", he must be thinking after that AB. He rarely ever throws that, never stood a chance.

Closing games is not easy but Yimi hung on. A split this series is a huge win for the Jays considering how it started out. If you can beat the O's you can beat anyone in the AL.

His fastball sucks but it's the only reason it makes his breaking pitches actually decent. His lack of consistent upper echelon velo is still extremely disappointing to me, he should never be throwing a fastball below 97.

If his command was better it wouldn't be as much of an issue, but he's very prone to completely losing his release point and start missing everywhere including the middle of the zone.

Vlad's wRC+ is up to 139. Managing to do that with a .131 ISO. Excellent walk to strikeout rate.

Just so weird that he's having like a early Freddie Freeman, prime Mark Grace season at the plate.

Would not trade

Never in doubt. Jays Win, Jays Win!!

Only 2 pages for a game thread for the biggest victory of the year?

The Toronto Blue Jays, a negative run differential pansy hitting team with beta GM, a con-artist president and the worst group of mentally unhinged fans in baseball beats the forever-dynasty/best organization in baseball ?

Hrs Baltimore I don't know 10-2 or something

Runs Baltimore 24-8 or something

wins 2-2

I kind of feel sorry for the forever-dynasty. What is happening to them reminds me of the 2022 Blue Jays. Everyone thought the Jays would be the best team in the East for a while.... but the Yankees decided to have a random 60-20 start and ended that.

2024 everyone thinks the Orioles will be having a forever-dynasty and the Yankees decide to have a random 44-15 or whatever it is start and the Orioles might be 5 games behind already.

Bullpen's are so fickle man. He's 2 bad outing away from being sent back to the minors again.

Garcia has been looking human lately but it's still him and Green as our 1 and 2. Then you'd have to give it to Richards and then Pop. Nate is number 5 at the moment imo.

Nobody jumped at the chance to give Vlad the Gatorade bath?

Vogelbach and Turner gave him 1 each already lol

I'm pretty sure most didn't even know the game was on at 1 today. I got lucky to check the schedule randomly lol.

Lol @ all those people who were talking about the Jays becoming a pitchers park. Imagine pushing the fences in on a park that was already considered a hitters park and yet using 1 year of data to form your opinions. Some of the people of this board truly must work with Atkins based on their opinions lol.

Does the data show it is a hitters park again? Still seems like the ball doesn't go anywhere. It not really the distances but something about the high fences that create a seel with the stands effects the wind currents I think.

Like Vlad's second ball didn't go as far as it should have, and I think it would have been out in the old configuration (a little better wind a little shorter fence).

Despite the bullpen hiccups that was one of our better games of the season. The 2 out RBI hits were incredibly pleasing.

Hopefully we can spank the A's.

Someone should start a GDT for the Yankees game tonight.

At this point the WC3 race is really happening. We have 8 other teams to keep an eye on so maybe a GDT for each one. However if the Legends can beat the Twinkies tonight Jays are only 3 out of WC3 with 100 to play.

Hell last year they were like 3.5 out with 30 to play. This would be nothing.

Everyone cheer for the Legends. It would also put the Forever-Dynasty (a.k.a. the Orioles) 5 games back. They aren't even in a division race really.

Would be pretty funny if the 84 win -80 run differential Jays got to play Seattle in the Wild card round at Safecu while Orioles with a +200 run differential and 105 wins also were just a wild card and had to play the up and coming Royals.

Most people probably.wont see that there was a game thread for today, just saying....

The only people who attack me are the same people majority of the people think are delusional homers aka you, Brownie and Spanky :)

I am friendly with practically everyone else so please continue eating Shatkins Sharts lol.

Home runs with guys on base makes baseball fun. That 2 out from Enrie was massive and something we've been missing all year.

Pop over Pearson? Noooooooooooo

I know Pop has pitched okay but he has a 5.95 FIP right now and is missing no bats. He probably sucks.

Pearson has a better FIP than Green and Richards and the best Stuff+ after Romano.

I'd probably say he is #4 right now, and will be #5 when Romano comes back. I can't jump him over Green and Richards yet but there are arguments in his favour.

I'm not going to fight Pop vs Nate since I consider both to be extremely volatile. It's a pleasure watching Nate when he's on though. Everyone's cheering for the guy.

I will say that despite being one of the biggest Debbie Downers on the board you are easier to engage with and will also allow yourself to celebrate and enjoy the wins and other good things that happen

Pop is interesting.. If he could develop a good 2nd pitch I think he'd be a nightmare. The movement on his sinker is nuts.

Zach Pop is kind of good but he also kind of sucks.

He's got one really good pitch. It's so good that he can throw it over and over and be a big league reliever.

But the fact that he can't throw a second pitch even somewhat effectively makes him suck. Pretty frustrating player.

I can't remember who he threw it to but he had a 97 mph sinker that had insane amounts of tail on it and he got a whiff despite it ending up well out of the zone

Brandon League!

Well, Toronto Brandon League. I think he was identical to Pop.

He found a splitter after leaving Toronto and had those good years.
