L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 Even if they fire Schneider they will just hire another Montoyo clone, a puppet! Definitely a part of the problem
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 Bo's going Yard. I'll take it.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 no team misses mistake sliders more often than the Jays. I'm nost sure what they are discussing in hitters meetings, but it's not working. Vlad didn't even offer at a pitch middle in that he could have hit 500 feet. I should stop bitching though...we have a rally going!
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 People thought this series was an opportunity for the Blue Jays? The Tigers looked at this series and thought, "BBQ chicken". Oh ya man There is a contingent here who truly thought the Jays had a chance to creep back towards .500 and playoff contention with this soft spot in the schedule Instead they continue to get bullied around by any team that isn’t full of AAAA players
bluejaysinternNo5 Verified Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 I really thought Vogelbach was going to do it for a a second.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 Hahaha... I benched Torks and his 570 OPS. f*** that guy.

Don't worry, they'll win another game, scoring like seven runs, and everybody will have the chance to believe that the march towards greatness is on again.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 The fact that this team is getting manhandled by the Tigers…

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 So Atkins gives a press conference last weekend about how there's still time but the team has to turn things around very soon. Team proceeds to go 3-4 vs. the White Sox and Tigers, and didn't even face Skubal. He’s gotta go. Get someone else in here to prepare for the trade deadline
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 Just imagine fans having a hope the Jays just might crawl back in to this season... the audacity. I will always admire your optimism. Seriously.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 I will always admire your optimism. Seriously. His optimism doesn't really concern me, if the front office is still optimistic, that's a problem. There needs to be a plan of action that's currently underway to make the changes that need to be made.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 Biggio Bitches... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!!!

Governator Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 Just imagine fans having a hope the Jays just might crawl back in to this season... the audacity. I'm usually optimistic by end of May but that was every Blue Jay fan's mindset from 1994-2014 with a season like this and it never panned out. I hate to be that guy but I'm personally not okay with settling into being a .500 team again unless there's hope for a better future from a proper rebuild. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be watching and rooting but do guys really believe in this core?

There needs to be a plan of action that's currently underway to make the changes that need to be made. That totally fair. Personally I've gone into I would like Ross drawn and quartered mode. I would fine seeing Shapiro go too. My bro and I are taking my son to Jays for his 16th next week and he is like Spank, so trying not to infect him with my negativity. We booked it awhile ago. This is the last personal money I'm spending on the Jays as long at Atkins is at the helm.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 If you think there isn't, you're being obtuse. What changes are being made? Finally modifying the lineup? It's the whole philosophy and approach to hitting that is broke. They are trusting the process and haven't changed anything.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still be watching and rooting but do guys really believe in this core? Offensively, not really. If they're a 500 team EOS fire the FO for all I give a f***, just don't need to hear it everyday in May, the core have stepped up this month and others have cooled off. The ebbs and flows of baseball can be cruel. Also 2020 - 2024 is happening.

They are trusting the process and haven't changed anything. You're talking about something different, he's talking about the FO. And yes they've made changes and sometimes revert back, that's on management as well, didn't you just say they were puppets?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 It’s better to rip the bandaid off than to hover around the 3rd WC long enough for anyone in the FO to get delusional. Of course the Jays stink when the 3rd WC competition looks weak as s***, but it is what it is.

Hopefully your son catches this team on one of their good days, they could look pretty good when they play anywhere close to their talent.
