The very first pitch Gausman threw was an 88mph fastball

Really hope he’s not hurt.

Make it 3 for 3 today on ace pitchers going down with injuries

At this point I hope it’s anything but him being hurt. Even if we get shelled we need him to be on track for the next few starts.

I would gladly release Bo Bichette for nothing to get him off of this roster at this point.

I don't want a dollar just get him out.

This has to be LTBFs alt account

Doesnt look like it to me, just looks like he's deliberately taking it easy in the cold. THe problem is with the lower velo fastballs, they can sit on the splitter effectively and just adjust to the heater. If he's 94-96 they can't do that anywhere near as effectively

also a factor. He was 96 last game, he seems to not have the usual velo when its cold like this.

Yeah, I think he's a bit concerned going full out in this weather just coming back from injury. His velo will be back next start.

He doesn’t look hurt but I think he’s struggling with the cold. It’s 9 and feels like 7.

Springer double, Vlad moves him to 3B with less than 2 outs, Bo fails to get an RBI cause he sucks, Jays blow thengame in the next half inning. Nothing new lol

Good thing he isn't in AAA. Those games have been 20 degrees F colder all year so far

If Varsho could just show a pulse at the plate it would be nice.

f*** he sucks.

Vogelbach takes a 92mph 3-1 meatball right down the middle and then strikes out swinging at a ball six inches inside.

Sad

He shouldn't be on a mlb roster.

Jays are hitting like .020 on middle middle pitches

I really don't see Varsho being a plus 100 wRC+ player again. I don't know how he did it in Arizona. Maybe the org did something to his approach/swing but he's looked awful for well over a year now.

Yeah, if you're not ready to jump on a 3-1 92mph fastball down the middle, then I don't know wtf to say anymore.

Volpe just pulled some little league s*** sticking the bat at Serven's glove cause he was beat. He needs a heater to the ribs at some point.

This is what I mean, it's like the Jays as a whole just are not ready to hit fastballs, except for Clement and Schneider.

They say the approach is to look for something they can hit and let it loose... but then just sit and watch crushable fastballs that would be exact;y what they should be looking for
