Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Gausman on his velo dip... https://www.mlb.com/news/kevin-gausman-struggles-in-blue-jays-loss-to-yankees My buddy who is good friends with Guillmero went to spring training this year and said Gausman struggled to hit 90 MPH all spring. There should be real concern here.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 He's such an unlikeable player. Tough to root for as a fan. Still needs to grow up. It's almost like he grew up in a poor country with little to no education. He has the brain of a 7 year old.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Explain the 97 in his last start before heading North, also, Mayza was back up to 94 last night, dumbass?! Beats me - I'm just telling you what I was told. He came back from spring training and told me the Jays are really concerned with Gausman, who struggled to hit 90 MPH all spring. That's what the setback was over and why they shut him down and then tried to build him back up. Maybe his shoulder isn't bouncing back properly? He can throw hard once, but can't bounce back? Why are you calling me a dumbass? Gausman himself just basically confirmed this, by saying that's been the joke all spring - not sure if you'll get 87 or 97 from him. Something is off/wrong.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Take it easy. He does that every time he rounds the bases. Mountain = Molehill. Don't forget his also pimped the home run that cleared the fence by like 5 feet. He can do his moronic 'sshhhhhh' thing all he wants, but maybe put your head down and run after you hit it?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2024 Author Posted April 7, 2024 Mayza is broken. He isn't a light leverage RP anymore. Velo down 4 MPH. Cursed Beats me - I'm just telling you what I was told. He came back from spring training and told me the Jays are really concerned with Gausman, who struggled to hit 90 MPH all spring. Mayza comment. In that article he also says there's nothing to fret about. When is this charade going to end? Aaand f***, I post that in the wrong thread.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Vladdy is a dumb dumb I just hope he does enough this year for the Jays to be able to extract some value for him in a trade. We'll see how the season goes but I'm thinking this is the last year of Vlad and Bo in Jays uniforms
VE2OH Verified Member Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Why didn't they put a pinch runner in for Vogelbach in the ninth. He lost the game for them. JMHO

I know you’re acting all insufferable to make a point now, good for you I guess, but f*** off with this. There’s plenty other Dominicans and latino players who are doing just fine or struggle the same as anyone else while being as hardworking and “students of the game” as any other player. No need to bring up Vladdy’s background to explain why he sucks. He can be stupid all on his own without having to point out that he’s Dominican as the reason why.

There's certainly a chance Vlad is this stupid because of lack of education. Maybe having a father who was never there for him and who had 8 kids with 5 women wasn't a great environment either. Can others overcome the same situation? Sure, but they probably work extremely hard - especially if they are trying to get the f*** off the island and trying to make the money to support their entire family. Vlad's never had that expectation.
