There is. It's tiny and hidden in the top right corner, and you have to scroll up the enormous ad to find it.

They are, thank you. I could never figure out how to close them on mobile.

 

Moot point now but I found that hitting 'back' on my browser as soon as the pop-up showed would let me go back to whatever thread/page I was trying to load and the pop-up wouldn't come back. Seemed to be on a timer of fifteen minutes or so. Anyways, thanks admin for taking care of it.

I know the forum is fixed now and I’m grateful, I really am.

 

But… there is a looming uneasy feeling in my mind each time I open the site. My body hasn’t gotten used to it, it’s still expecting it.

 

It’s been a good couple days.

 

But last night I had a dream about this happening. The full screen ads.

 

I am driving and posting or just dipped my left hand in the bath tub and go to open the site.

 

And I’m scared like you wouldn’t believe. French soup is there and he’s scared too. I get even more scared when I see how scared he is.

 

Then I realize what it is. It’s admin. He’s the one who’s doing it. I can see his face. I hope to never see that face outside the dream.

 

The thumb can only reach so far without risking dropping my iPhone 11, over $1000 value.

This site still doesn't really work on mobile for me. It's not quite as device-killing as it was before, but the website still freezes and ends system processes on my phone, forcing app closures and restarts. This is the only website I use that gives me this issue.

 

If it's financially viable, can we get rid of the remaining ads and set up a Patreon for funding?

They can have the moderators approve the posts of new accounts before they appear. It's a solution that works great.

It's not much different than the current workload

 

A: Mods have to use spam-o-matic to delete spam threads (this bans the account in the process)

B: Mods have to approve the first post of all new accounts
