They didn't use it last season. They used the baby blue and dark blue Jay hats, I know cause I ordered one, this one looks sharp too.

I couldn't find a spring training hat from last year. It was impossible. I didn't want to order it online because i'm very picky with hats and need to try them on first lol.

Sorry Spanky - but that one was an in-season hat from last year. This was the 2023 spring training hat. You're correct though that they went away from the maple leaf last year finally.

Well, I saw it in the Spring and ordered it... I recall that hat now, better than the giant red Maple Leaf, lol.

Report: Dodgers agree to deal with Kershaw

https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2838974

Glad to hear it

Update:

The 2024 season may not be Clayton Kershaw’s swan song in Los Angeles.

His new contract with the Dodgers includes a player option for 2025, a person briefed on the negotiations said. That clause would allow Kershaw, who is rehabbing from major shoulder surgery and won’t return until later this summer, a chance to spend an additional full season with the team and share the starting rotation with Shohei Ohtani.

Does Boob just not believe in proofreading?

Does he mean lifetime earnings..? Trying to understand also...

Yes

But the years typo and the missing 2028 are poor quality tweeting

Marlin’s DFA Groshans.. Good of our FO to move him. I remember when he was the next big thing in the Blue Jay’s org and another whomp, womp , wommmp..

And the Jays still have Pop

So this is what winning feels like

EDIT: Does anyone remember who the PTBNL was in that deal? IIRC it was Bass, Pop, PTBNL for Groshans

Great to see Kershaw back. I think it was pretty obvious he's back with the Dodgers or retires lol.

He's said Dodgers or nothing, this was expected and for cheap as always.

I never liked the pick but they liked kloffenstein alot and needed money for him. He did have a good year last year tho. Cost of doing business but I would have liked to see kloff and Robberse in aaa this year for us

We have quite a drop off in a sp after Dragon.

I has a look at that draft - I was going to do the "man - if only we took Player X", but f*** me, what a brutal draft.

1st Round

Mize

Bart

Bohm

Madrigal

India

Kelenic

Weathers

Carter Stewart (didn't sign)

Kyler Murray

Travis Swaggerty

Grayson Rodriquez

Groshans

Connor Scott

Logan Gilbert

Winn

Laberatore

Jordyn Adams

Brady Singer

Nolan Gorman

Trevor Larnach

Turang

Ryan Rolison

Anthony Seigler

Nico Noerner

Matt McLain (didn't sign)

Triston Casas

Mason Denaburg

Seth Beer

Bo Naylor

JT Ginn (didn't sign)

Like 5 good players in the 1st round. After that, the only guys I see are:

McClanahan

Cal Raleigh

Jeremy Pena

Kyle Bradish

Taj Bradley?

Steven Kwan

Joe Ryan

Brendan Donovan

Outman

Nootbaar

Skubal

O'Hoppe

There's like 17-20 ball players in the entire draft. I don't do this type of look into drafts often, but this seems awful.

Singer has been decent but yeah wow that top 10 is really weak.

good catch - not that he's been a stud either...but better than most his peers from the draft indeed.

Brady and liberatore were ranked higher and I wanted them.

Seems pretty cheap, good deal for the Twins.

I mean Jay Jackson is a 36 year old replacement level journeyman reliever, great for him to have gotten a guaranteed contract. Despite the success story there was some smoke and mirrors to his performance from last season, the velo is decidedly mediocre which means he's a righty reliever with one plus pitch that isn't coming from a particularly funky angle. I doubt anyone will look back at this contract as a steal on the Twins' end, but I certainly am happy for JJ and hope he can hit all the escalators.
