Imagine if Baltimore took their payroll to the luxury tax level like the Jays did. Even after the O'Neill signing they have 110 mil in luxury tax space. They have the money to bring back Burnes, Sign Fried and they still have money to spend.

They should be locking up their young talent with a lot of that money. It will be interesting to see if the new owner opens the pocket book or not. No real sign of it yet. O'Neill is a high risk/high reward signing. Personally, I think the O's should be looking to add consistency - which typically costs more.

Yup. They had a lot of things go right over the past couple of years with their available arms and last year Corbin Burnes held that rotation together.

I wouldn't be excited about Suarez, Kremer and Wells. Bradish will probably be out till at least midseason. Orioles fans also seem to think Elfin is some sort of ace based on his 9 start run with the team, which is comedic.

If they don't resign Burnes (they ain't resigning Burnes) or replace him with a front-end starter, I could see the wheels finally coming apart for their rotation.

They also have Grayson Rodriguez, Trevor Rogers, Povich, McDermott and Means when ready.

Early signs are showing that they're still not serious about winning. Jumping on an injury-prone 2-WAR OF to replace Santander. Gary Sanchez for backup C and platoon DH. Looking like a 4th straight limp-dicked offseason in a row in support of one of the most elite young cores in the league

Pre-emptive message to the forums Oriole fans (or at least those that didn't bail when they lost their 10th straight playoff game): yes, the Jays are in a worse spot.

There is an Air Transat flight coming in tonight from Punta Cana at 11:56PM. Will be greeting everyone off that flight in the arrival hall at Terminal 3! Should be easy to spot Soto if he's on board.

Anybody have the coordinates of the Rogers corporate jet?

Don't know the registration for the Rogers corporate jet. Will ask around.

Michael Conforto is signing with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers have agreed to a deal with outfielder Michael Conforto, per a report from MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez adds that Conforto’s deal with L.A. is a one-year pact worth $17MM. Per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the club still remains in on fellow free agent outfielder Teoscar Hernandez even after landing Conforto.
