How long before people calling for his release are complaining that we let him go?

Same as Walker Buehler, although I think he was a sticky stuff user

Buehler was elite he just broke. Coming back from major injury and closing in on 30. He could be cooked, but I'd take 2024 as a throwaway anyway, 2025 is the make or break year for him to determine if he can get back to being good or this is who he is.

Schwarber has easy power, impressive.

This team needs more gloves.

Atkins can be like Kathleen Kennedy in Southpark with the Disney Panderstone

As soon as he strikes out Varsho in a big spot?

Ohtani's a 5 win DH right now, lmao.

Oh... so close.

Crazy

Is he expected to BEGIN next season in the Dodgers starting rotation?

Corbin Carroll's turned into a pumpkin. Was perhaps my favorite player to watch last season. Crazy sophomore slump

There was that time of glory with Acuna, Tatis, and Soto hitting the ground running. Gunnar now I guess. But most of the #1 overall type guys have been up and down.

Skenes no-hitting the Brewers through 5 with 1BB and 10 Ks. Probably only has 1 more inning in him because of pitch count though.

He got through 7 with the no-no intact, 11K, 1 BB, 99 pitches. Pen wasnt able to keep the no hitter but they still won 1-0.

Skenes results are exactly why pitchers chase velo. Because it's just way f***ing harder to hit, than non-velo.

Feels like it extracts a heavy price and shorter outings, but that obviously makes sense.

It is interesting that there's basically no super successful pitcher now under the age of 30 who has a body of effective work and I have to imagine that it's a factor alonger with the types of off-speed pitches they regularly throw.

Of the under 30 group, Sandy Alcantara has the most WAR at 20, and then it's like Zac Gallen, Shane Bieber, Logan Webb and Corbin Burnes between 16-18 WAR . Alcantara lost all of this year already. Bieber is gone again as well. Burnes is 29 so he's at the edge of that age group anyways.

The youngest guys on the active top 100 WAR list are Webb, Logan Gilbert, and Tarik Skubal and they're all 27. Skubal and Gilbert have 10 WAR.

They're going to have to change the standards at the HOF after Verlander/Kershaw/Scherzer/Grienke get in. After that you have maybe a group with Cole/Nola/Sale who have a shot if they have strong ends to their career. None of them are likely at all to get near the former groups total production.

Did a same game parlay with Pirates winning and Skenes getting 7 K's haha.

Would love to make the drive down to Pittsburgh this summer to catch one of his starts!

Risky business betting on the Pirates to score a run, but it paid off.

Don't forget to buy a novelty moustache at PNC if you go!

It's also why arms blow up and they risk never recouping their value down the line. Enjoy him while you can!

I was pretty disappointed that he pitched on the Sunday when I was there this summer (arrived Wednesday and left Sunday). He is must see TV.

I feel it’s relevant to note that some are saying Brody Brecht’s fastball is on par with Skenes. He just needs to harness his stuff. Could very well be on the board for the Jays with their first pick
